pdbman - 2010-11-24 10:43 PM Hey Yanti. I hope things are going better for you today.

Thank you Paul!

Body and spirit are recovering nicely. It helps to be surrounded by yummy hot piglets all the time.

Post a pic of some of these piglets please? Innocent

Piglet pictures. Ask and ye shall receive. You know--yummy boys just don't have/post pics of themselves like girls do. Sheesh.

Let's start with Rodney. He is an Olympian (Albertville '92) and now runs a restaurant and charity sports foundation here in Bali. His restaurant is called Stiff Chili (HA HA HA HA HA) and their logo is a, um, giant, sticking-out, stiff chili. He is helping me get tri-piglets to the Arafura Games (that's like a Pan-Pacific or Asian Games, a regional but official deal. 30 sports, 50 countries.)

Oh, did I mention someone died and put me in charge of getting the first team of Indonesian triathletes into official international competition? IN FIVE MONTHS??? (Nobody died, though).

This is Richard Sam Bera. He is also an Olympian (two of 'em, I forget which, swimming). He's now Indonesia's media mogul and one of the country's most eligible bachelors. Oh, and he is into triathlon now. He is also helping me get the athletes to Australia for the Games in May. I asked if he'd be one of them and he laughed at me.

Oh and by the way--these people all also happen to be melon-pressin' friends. That is, I didn't come across them as a course of my new ventures--I've known all of these guys for a while. I am SO LUCKY to have already had them in my pigsty ... no, that's not good ... piglet stable? stallion stables? heh ... and they are all such dear boys for wanting to help.

I haven't got a good picture of this Richard yet, but I will. In real life he actually looks a lot like Matthew McConaughey. He is really, really tall (he's got to be at least 6' 3" but I think more like 6' 5" or 6"). He builds superyachts for a living and manages a luxury yacht charter business. He is one of the beloved surfer piglets, and he is also a triathlete. He occupied my early evening.

Oh, he's the really tall guy in the back, if you didn't figure.

BTW, I spent the later evening with a MOST DELICIOUS sizzling AND smart red-headed piglet (my favorite kind) who adores me and has promised me Pop Tarts, and I did get a picture of him, but his mom (my friend) said she'd kill me if I posted it online because he only just turned 18 yesterday and he's still in high school.

Innocent

So last, but by no means least, is Andreas Kansil. He's the race director of the world's best triathlon (Bali International Triathlon) and a cycling/tri piglet. No good pics of him either, WTF? I'm seeing him again tomorrow (never, ever turn down a free lunch, this is my new motto) so maybe I can get a good one then.

By the way, that's his SISTER and NIECE.

So after starting running from scratch with 10 minute runs the first week and increasing time by 10% each week, today I finally ran 20 minutes!!  Feels like it's taken forever to get to a decent length but it's worth it to not have shin splints and now I feel like I'm finally running a decent amount and not short little runs.  I can't wait to get to a point where I'm running 30-40 minutes and then finally starting my half marathon training with the bf.

When it comes to training, patience is a must. Keep at it and before too long you'll be running marathons.

Just got back from a chilly bike ride. Big points for CWWC. It doesn't take too many days of bad weather to start catching up with the lead people out there.

My gym is open until 2 PM, I got a Thanksgiving swim in.
Does lifting a stuffed turkey into the oven count for strength training?

Sadly I have no turkey, I celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving a while back though.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and eats WAY too much!
