Friday morning, flew from Boston to Baltimore to Pittsburgh for my cousin's son's funeral. Glad I went. saturday, did the reverse trip, then boarded to London. Flight circled Heathrow for 2 hours, then we were diverted to Frankfurt where we spent the night. Monday, flew from Frankfurt to Brussels with a 9 hour layover, then finally arrived in Newcastle at 5PM. No luggage from Saturday until very late Monday. My prescriptions were packed and I was suffering without them. Suckage. |

What kind of engineer are you? Any jobs in your neck of the woods? Background is Mechanical Energy Management. But I have spent my career in Automotive. 9 years of Chemical Engineering making Foam - various positions 4 years of Machining Vibration Dampers - Automation, vision systems and Quality aghh quality 3 years of Continuous Improvement Lean Manager in Class A paint and assembly 3 months in Metal stamping and welding and assembly. Mostly Ford Edge I am a jack of all trades master of non really (except cost reductions and lean) I have done everything from R&D, Robot/PLC programming, Now Autocad Electrical drawings, Project Management, Vision Systems, Equipment procurement, Maint supervision. Last three years managing 4 other Engineers. Kind of a little of everything. I am actually a Engineering Technologist. not a PEng But I have been successful over many P.Eng friends because I tend to try an engage people more and I am willing to take on and try anything. |

Many people left the industry around here e years ago and are not coming back or wanting to. I know a lot of people in the windmill industry they are going up all over the place around here too. |
