I have a buddy who had that same problem. He asked if I reset after all my workouts. Of course I do. He never did. Funny to me. |

Champion 5312 Calgary | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed so in interest of continuing not to take my training too seriously I took Saturday off, as well as Thursday. Then I got sick Saturday and had to take Sunday off. So that is 3 off days last week, can't remember the last time. Used to get all nutty about that but doing my best to let it slide off me. No big thing right (at least for the month of February). So, ran today, 12ish k. Good. Still achy from being sick but good enough. Hope everyone else got what was planned done. |

DH - 3 days off is no big deal when you think about all the running you have done over the last year. You have been a machine. You've earned the time off. |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Managed to get in 15 minutes of yoga this morning before having to head to work a little early... Came home and did 30 minutes on the trainer. It's a taper week for me and it's nice to be able to spend a little less time on the trainer and a little more time with the kids. Tomorrow - Short swim and run... then drinks after work with a friend. Hope everyone had a good monday. |

Expert 1058 Fallon, Nevada | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Got to work a half hour early this morning, why I don't know, then realized it was a furlough day and I shouldn't even have been at work! I stayed at work since the drive is an hour and half one way and arranged to take my furlough on Wednesday. Husband calls to tell me we have major plumbing problems and we should get a hotel for the night...changed my furlough again to have tomorrow off so I can hold tools for Mr. Fix it while he does the dirty work...gross! My stomach is aching something awful tonight too...what else? No workout ...nah gotta do something. Its almost 8 but that does not mean I can skip the training session...will hit the base gym and shower there tonight. |

Expert 925 Timmins, ON. Canada | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Well got day one of the push-up challenge done, and it feels good! I think I am on my own doing it though, however my wife has been talking about running again in preparation for a Canada Day Half-Mary here. My buddy won it last year, its small and best of all Free to enter! Should be some good times, I am hoping we can push our daughter in the chariot for it, however I am not sure if she would last that long without getting fussy.
Got some pictures for you all now...

Punishment and Reward.... I am so glad I am back on the beer!!!!! Justin - That is some good motivation. I've kept a 40 in the trunk of my car for months now. Everytime I think about blowing off a workout, I think of how crappy that beer would taste if I were to have to drink it... Glad to see you've got the same deal going on there - although with 67 calories - can you taste anything? I know making the switch to the midnight shift has been hard - but oh how good your reward will taste when you accomplish your goal. Get it done! |

Expert 4269 | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Got my swim in this morning. I was in the same lane as a guy who had probably swam (swum?) in college. He past me every 3 lengths... It was like watching one of those swimming videos for total immersion in real time... beautiful to watch...dishearting to compete against... Will get my short run in tonight before drinks. Plus, I'm hoping to pull the trigger on signing up for a HIM sometime this week... Hope everyone is having a great week. Don't forget to brag about your accomplishments/and to praise and support others with likes and replies! |

Extreme Veteran 2098 Alberta | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Great start to the week so far. Monday morning had a great run/row. Started pushup challenge with kids. After work my son had hockey practice that I coach. He was asked to stay and hour later to shoot on the goalies. There was a drop in spin class so i managed a bonus workout last night.

Did I miss anyone? Did you buy the app? By the end of March you will be doing 100 pushups in a row! Also don't forget the 27 workouts in 28 days challenge! 6 pushup challenge workouts count as one towards that number so that will be 2 workouts for the month of March! When just starting bike training how important is it to have cadence on a computer? If I have a computer on the bike without cadence do I need to worry about it or can it wait? |

When just starting bike training how important is it to have cadence on a computer? If I have a computer on the bike without cadence do I need to worry about it or can it wait? I use cadence a ton on my bike. Is it necessary? No, but for me I find it helps a ton. You could always pass yours computer down to your son and pick up a cheap computer with cadence. At the end of the day, you need to put time in the saddle and challenge yourself. |

Member 21 Youngsville | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed If you're just starting from scratch then I'd do all I can to build on a good foundation. I started off mashing constantly and it's taken me a while to learn high cadence biking. If you can get it, I would. Much easier to learn right from the start. |

You never need a computer to ride a bike. Certainly don't worry that you are missing something. This from someone who won't ride without his 305..... |

Sorry for my absence recently, I have had a lot going on. Please include me in the push up challenge, I got the app and did my initial test, but need to do day one still. I'll also do the 27 in 28, however, that may be difficult seeing as I have already lost out on 4 days of that, but I think I can make it. Supposed to be going to Santa Fe for a funeral today, but was up sick most of the night, so I am laying in bed trying to recover. Will hopefully feel better tomorrow and get back to a schedule where I can get my workouts in! |

Champion 5312 Calgary | Subject: RE: Beer Drinker Appreciation Society - Closed Today I rode to work. A bit icy so had to walk a bit. So run at lunch. Ride home. Some yoga. Should be a 4 hour day. Also, I am on a beer a day routine now. Actually no beer last night, oops, forgot. The 192 lbs on the scale, a 12 pound weight gain in January, convinced me that the liter a day beer habit is not sustainable. Onward... |
