Yeah, we want details! 

Well, the staff person that I was dealing with about a month ago regarding being late, was late on 5/30.  Did not say anything to me.  I come to find out they spoke with my Assistant Branch Manager who allowed them to make up the time and stay later that day, but did not mention it to me.  I went to do payroll this week, and I knew the person had been late.  Nothing was on the log for it, so I marked it down and sent them a email letting them know what I did.  Low and behold, I get an email back from them telling me what my ABM had done.  My ABM who knew that I knew about the person being late, but did they ever tell me how they handled it?  NOoooooo.  And this is one of the people that my ABM went on a weekend camping trip with.  If you have ever been a supervisor or manager you know that there is a limit to how much you socialize with your staff because of the fact that you have to be the disciplinarian when it is needed.  And, why, TELL ME WHY would you allow the person who you are trying to get to stop being late, you allow them to come in late and make up their time.  It is as if they were trying to hide it from me. 

So, long talk with ABM and let them know that the branch services director is coming out next week to have a meeting with the two of us regarding this.

And, talk with the staff person.  They wanted to know why I didn't track them down that day regarding being late.  My response:  You are the one with the lateness problem.  You are the one who can be reprimanded.  It is your responsibility to make sure that I know of any changes that have been made to your schedule, not my job to go running after you.  Truthfully, I would be happy to see this person go but I don't think they will unless shoved out the door.  They are they type to stick to one job and never ever change unless forced.  They still dress like they are in college. 

And then, get this...we are having a going away baby shower for another staff person, and while I was in the break room participating, neither one of them would come into the room until I left.  I had to go out there and tell them to come into the room.

Can I go on another vacation already?  I don't know if I will last until August.  Oh yeah, I do get a long weekend not, this one, but the next.  Woot!  Not going anywhere or doing anything, but I'll be off.  Woot!

That all sucks. Hope the meeting with the director helps. That is silly to be put in the middle like that and for both of them to be so childish!

I approve you going on a vacation NOW. I mean, the gmail is down... why not?

I have bruises EVERYWHERE!

but the bruises are from something fun!  Hope they stop hurting soon.

they are reminding me of how much fun I had and how much I would like to be independently wealthy so I could play some more.

I have been shopping for bikes on-line today

Cool.  Every time we ride bikes at the beach, I want to buy my own beach bike.  But it seems extravagant for something that I might get to use once every two years or so.  Did Jim do the training with you, or just you?

Mountain bikes can double as cruisers.. you just pump the tires up a bit. Matter of fact, a mountain bike you can ride on the road, AND on the sand.... just a hint Then we could mountain bike together!

Jim did not go. It was a woman's clinic. It would have been nice for him to do it with me. Thought, I am way less skilled on the bike, of any kind, than he is.

Ann- glad you are feeling better. Hope you improve all day.

I still ache, but I am going to get a run in this am. I'll need to skip lunch and take the time early. It will be in the 90s today.

I need to get one in, too. It will most likely be short or a run/walk, but I need to get moving. The toe is feeling better so I'm going to give it a try. Keri wants to go with me, too.

Good! Just go short and slow then add. Too  much too fast ALWAYS ends up hurting. (don't ask how I know that).

I was going to go and get a walk in this morning, instead I folded three loads of laundry, washed another two loads, changed the sheets on the bed, defleaed the cats (oh they are smart, but I am smarter), put laundry away and finished a book.  Then I came to work an hour early.

Does it sound like I'm avoiding something?

I ran a mile. It was too hot to continue. I am going to have to get up in the am. The townsfolk have been warned!!!!

I've had the same problem with heat and time of day conflicting with my running.
