Tonight is the basketball game between Keri's team, and the parents. There has been a lot of trash talk the past few days in our house. Last night Keri said we will lose because we are all 100 years old, slow, and our bones creak. She makes me laugh, but I hope they lose .

Any big plans for the weekend?  I know Robin is flying away...

We don't have any plans.  So thinking about getting the offices and guest room cleaned up.  We tend to just toss things in and ignore.  But - with houseguests coming early April and then our daughter and family are likely moving to Augusta, GA the end of March, they might be spending a lot of time in this neck of the woods.  So I'll need all three rooms to be in great shape for them.

SIL is going to a training class in Augusta, and it was originally supposed to be in Oct, but he just got word that he can join the class that starts the end of March.  So they have less than 5 weeks to get moved.  The army does not always move that quickly, so Tanya is trying to not stress out regarding what then need to get done to make this happen.  So, being the wonderful, helpful mom that I am, I reminded her that she and the kids could stay here until they have a place if need be.  So, might have a full house in about a month.  It is a wait and see game right now.  But figured need to get ready anyway.  Going to love having them closer even if it is only for about 8 months. 

I want a house cleaner.  Had one several years ago, and had to give it up when we were supporting our son (when he was out of work for two years).  Then with no pay raises for 6 years, it was hard to justify getting one again.  But, I think we are back to where we can consider it again.  

Oh, she's a trip. 

I doubt we'll actually keep score, so I'll tell you now... WE WON!

Do you have Merry Maids down there? Or I think care.com has housekeepers on it.

Get the house cleaner!!! It saved my life. Every 2 weeks. It was making me crazy to clean up and have the proctors (who genetically don't see dirt and mess) screw it up immediately and have NO CLUE why I was pissed off. I would sell blood to have my house cleaner if need be. And we are pretty lax about how clean is clean in this old house with tons of animals.

I am doing tons of chores today to get ready to fly away for a while I'll check back in, later.

I'd love to have a housekeeper. I need someone though who not only cleans, but can help put stuff away. We are on the run so much it seems like we are only around the make the messes, not clean them up. Usually Saturday mornings are a whirlwind of trying to get everything done in a short amount of time, and we don't even have those mornings. After this weekend though we have a little bit of downtime before things pick up again.

I do love summertime when my one SIL comes over a day a week to stay with the kids. My house is always clean and sparkly when I get home.

It has been a busy week here!  I have had an evening commitment 4 jout of 5 nights this week.  I am not used to that!

Last night we went to the graduation ceremony for my stepdaughter.  She finished her school last fall, but the ceremony was last night.  She graduated as a Medical Assistant.  Even better, she got a job with a good clinic and is enjoying it.  She has now passed her 3 month probation period and received a raise.  Yeah!!!

It is 10 degrees out and I just saw that firetrucks were dispatched to the middle school for an alarm. I sincerely hope that they do not evacuate the kids unless it truly is an emergency, and if they do that they take them to the HS, or ES and put them in the gym where it is warm. I'm sure most don't have coats, and that is just too damn cold to be standing around outside!

I'm trying to find out more info, but I'm not having any luck. Grrrr

I know Robin is gone, but I hope she has a great trip.  

I keep waiting for my SIL to get posted somewhere that would be fun to go to.  Some place that I might not normally go to.  So far it has been, California (Death Valley), Arizona, Georgia, Virginia, Texas.  I have visited them each place they have been, but really, Germany would be nice, Alaska would be nice, Hawaii would be nice.  But really happy they will be back in Georgia for a while.  Even if it is only -8 months, it means I will likely see them once a month on average while they are here.  Either with us going to visit them, or them visiting us which is more likely the case since the older boys have friends on the street here that they can plan with and the neighborhood pool, which Tanya told them they would be able to go to a lot this summer.  

Ann, I saw the parents won the game.  Woot!  Way to show them young folks.  Hope it was fun for all.

Taxes will be done by the end of today.   That is my goal for the day.

Another busy weekend, but basketball season is finally over! A few weeks off, then it's soccer, and softball as soon as we can get on the fields.

Ann - glad you will have a couple of weeks respite to prepare yourselves for spring season.  

I am signed up to run and volunteer at the Peachtree Road race again this year.  It is the 50th anniversary of the run, so I ordered a commemorative shirt.  Hope it has a great design on it.

I have also signed up for a SuperCon race in May.  My son and his girlfriend are doing that one.  Trying to decide if I wear a limited costume or not.  I know you would all say to wear a costume, LOL.  So, I noticed that Under Armour has some super hero t-shirts that I could always add a cape to.  So, if I can talk the other ladies into it, will possibly do that.

I just saw a Wonder Woman running outfit the other day. I'll try and find the link for you.
