With a healing shoulder and soar back should I do a light run or just do the elliptical and play it safe?

I read in the last issue of tri mag that walking at a 12-15% incline has the SAME physiological effect on the body as running without the pounding.  They suggest that it's an acceptable alternative on a recovery run day.  I did it last night, keeping my HR in Z2 and enjoyed it!

Just an option.

I was a walking injury when doing BJJ.  My shoulder is still jacked from a bad fall years ago as well as a messed up knee when I chose not to tap out whilst in a knee bar.

That's why I gave it up.  But I miss it.

I haven’t grappled in over 10 years but the class I'm going to will be slow. Take it easy getting back into it. I'm not going to compete just to get back into the groove and do the cardio.

Wait a couple months unless you can lay out in the 60's...  March is hit or miss (our first tris start in late march).  april will give you more of a chance for good weather.  But it doesn't start getting HOT until June.

Is it legal to offer discounts to people based on gender?  Like, can a gym have a special where they offer a discount for guys to join?  For a limited time.

Apparently.  The club here offers free enrolement for chicks...  not so for boys.

Not that I actually expected to get a job, but the company that was hiring freelance copy editors told me that they did not have any assignments for me that fit their needs.
