Dearest Dee, Kendra, and Robin,

PLEASE do not make me be the responsible one here.

Thnx

Ann

PS - GO GET YOUR RUN ON!

Darn, you caught onto us.

I promise that I will get it in tomorrow.  Definitely on Saturday when I am supposed to do a 5K, LOL.

I ran a mile. It was too hot to continue. I am going to have to get up in the am. The townsfolk have been warned!!!!

I have that problem here, too. If I run too late in the evening then I can't settle down to go to bed on time. I can't get up any earlier than I do right now though. There will be some runs in my cool basement on the treadmill this summer.

Morning Ghoulies!

Ann, you all stay safe. Ma Nature is serious this spring and is not taking many prisoners!

Amy, I am NOT a morning person. I pity the fool that gets between me and my coffee!

The storms came and went. Not as bad as what they were predicting. I think this afternoon they are calling for some wind sheer thing though.

It rained hard. There was thunder, and lightning. Something got hit nearby. It was loud, my ears were ringing for an hour. I need to go out later and make sure the electric fence is still working around the pasture, in case it was the barn that got hit, but I don't think that was it. It's partly sunny now, and breezy.

Tag, I am it. It is spectacular here this morning (and now) but they are calling for epic storms this afternoon. I am going to order the fitbit flex. I really want something to help me get off my duff during the day more. I liked the Jawbone, but it didn't record  my walking treadmill time. We will see how the fitbitt works.

Good morning Ghoulies!

The storms they were calling for yesterday fizzled out, and didn't amount to much more than some rain and wind. I hope you guys were as lucky Robin!

I ordered a Fitbit Flex this morning. It is backordered 6 weeks though, hopefully it will ship sooner.

Robin, you might be better ording the Fitbit One. That one looks like you can clip it on to you, that should help with the steps on the treadmill.

TGIF and Happy FFFFriday Ghoulies

The storms here did the same thing. All around was epic stuff and we got some wind and a tiny amount of rain. Enough to ensure I have to water all weekend.

Ann, I ordered the flex, too. I think I'll try putting it on my shoe when I am on the TM. I looked at the one, but I just know I will lose it or wash it.

I am off to do chores, shop and go test drive a mountain bike. We have friends coming in for the weekend. It should be a blast.

Have fantastic weekends!

Good morning Ghoulies.

I believe the epic storms that Ann and Robin were supposed to have had yesterday came to GA instead.  It was something!  I arrived at my tennis match watching the lightning in the sky to find they were all still on the courts.  I said they were crazy.  Luckily the rain started shortly after that so I went home.  Don't know when the make up is yet.  The other team is being a "PITA" because they don't want to play two days in a row.  We offered Fri/Sat/Sun as possible make up days for us.  I work Mon & Wed night, and my partner has a match already for Tuesday.

Ann - I did get out and got a walk in yesterday.  The heat was awful.  Need to get back to early mornings.

I really liked my FitBit until I lost it.  It only took me a month to lose.  I found my hubby's in the couch last week.  Wonder how long he had been missing his, LOL.

I just need to get an implant.  That is the only way to not lose them.

Being out in the lightning is just STUPID!

Good job on the walk, Kendra!

Morning!  Sooo glad that it is Friday!

All week Larry has walked in the morning and again in the afternoon for about 20-25 minutes each time.  The first few days his feet & legs ached, but he is doing better now.  He has cut back his portions, especially at dinner.  Other than that he already pretty much eats well.  He just started yesterday testing his blood sugar once a day. And today he started  on a once a day pill to help his body utilize sugar better.  Now we track his numbers to see if this all does the trick.

Oh, they want him to lose 15-20 pounds.  He lost 3 this past week just by cutting his dinner portions and walking.

Good morning Ghoulies!  It is quiet out here.

It is a signal to staff that when I close my shade in my office, I am planning on talking to someone with my door shut.  That is usually not a good sign.

And I just closed my shade!

Had a fabulous weekend.

Friday night quiet night at home by myself.  Hubby off playing tennis.

Saturday, worked the Cops and Robbers run for my Rotary.  Not a big turnout, and I tried to give them some input for next year.  I even volunteered to work with them on the committee.  Anyway, the 5K did not start until 9am.  That is too late of a start for a summer race.  They start the 10K at 8am and the 5K at 9.  I suggested that they start earlier and even if they don't want to start the 10K until 8m, then start the 5K at 8:30.  Don't know why they wait a whole hour.

then I went to the farmers market, then shopping for fathers day gifts (got him propane for the grill and new grilling tools with their own carry case.).  Picked up two movies.  Mowed the lawn and then we got invited to play games.  Woot!   You know I like to play games.

Sunday, we finished watching one of the movies we started on Saturday.  Then we visited the friends who had the motorcycle accident on Memorial Day.  She has healed quite well.  It is going to take a long time for him, and he told hubby that he won't be getting a new motorcycle.  He is done riding.  He does plan on continuing to be part of the group, which is good, because he is often the life of the party.

After that we watched the second movie and then our son took hubby to the baseball game for fathers day.  They had a great time, and I just vegged out at home.  Oh, I did get 6 pots planted with herbs and flowers.  So I now officially can say I have a herb garden.  Woot!

Good Morning!  We had a nice weekend.  Actually got to drive the hotrod.  Whoo hoo!!!  It sure does get the looks!

For Father's Day, Larry's daughter & granddaughter went to lunch with us, then to look around at a car show, then daughter and I took him to buy a new shop vac.  He was very happy!  Then he took a long nap while I went for a run.  Good day!

Ok, here's my weekend...

Saturday morning Keri and I went for a 2 mile run. We waited a little too long to go, it was getting warm, but we got it done. When we got home I changed clothes, I was pretty sweaty, but didn't shower. Then I went out and worked in both the veggie and flower garden. I scrubbed out the horses trough in the barn. I helped Donnie replace some boards on our front porch. And I cleaned up the garage a bit. I was filthy. I needed to go to walmart though, and I was very tempted to go covered in gunk like I was, I would fit in. I hate Walmart by the way.

Late Saturday afternoon they did hay. I can't tell you how nervous, and proud I was watching Caleb drive a tractor across the hill with a full wagon of hay on the back.

I didn't feel like making dinner, so Keri and I debated where to go. We called in an order to a place about 20 minutes away, they said it would be 40 minutes. We ran in town, ordered Caleb a pizza, and sat and waited for that. We ran the pizza home to him, went and picked up our food. She ate on the way to another place a few miles down the road where we stood in a forever long line to get ice cream.

Then we came home and crashed for the night.

Sunday...

Donnie had breakfast in bed. They went to church, I single handedly tried to stimulate the economy. I stopped at about 8 places on Sunday morning picking up odds and ends. I finished my trip by making stops to pick up chicken, and pizza, to take to Donnie's parent's house to have lunch with them.

We ate and stayed for a short time, Donnie stayed longer, the kids and I ran to my parents for a little while.

We left my parents and went home to get Keri ready to go to basketball camp. She is only a day camper, but it is still something new for her and me. We took her over yesterday evening, got her registered, then hung out and watched since it was only 2ish hours until we'd bring her home. Her squad is made up of 7 girls, she being the youngest, and smallest. Then their squad leader is a college player. Her squad leader seemed nice, and looked after the girls. The other girls were 1-2 years older than Keri, and 4-5" taller.

After the initial meetings were over they played some 5v5. The first game she was pretty timid, she definitely held back. The second game she released the beast, this is fun to watch.

They camp is broken down into 3 color sqads, and inside those squads are smaller numbered squads. After a few games all the squads rotated, and her group went to a different gym and worked on agility and shooting drills. She had some problems with the foot drills, but it was funny to watch.

Their third, and final location was to have a meeting q&a session, and tour of the campus. When they came back the almost 40 girls in her squad, the gold squad, and the squad leaders walked into the complex, in a column of 2 chanting

"We are the gold squad, the mighty mighty gold squad. Everywhere we go people wanna know who we are so we tell them..." "I feel good. Oh Ah. I feel good. Oh. Ah" It was funny, and they were LOUD. They went back into the room they started in, before heading to the field house for the final meeting of the night. Everyone else was in there waiting for them, and they lined up and started their chant again as they walked in. They started out softfly and they gradually got louder. They were pumped for camp!

I'm going to be worthless at work this week because I keep thinking about her at camp. I'll be even more worthless next week when she's at softball camp, and Caleb is at basketball camp. Neither kiddo is spending the night, they are just day campers. I'll pick her up at 5:00 today, they boy will be there until 8:30 next week. I'm going to get a lot more gray hairs this summer I think.
