MRS2Tony bought some Elton John concert tickets in Omaha for her parents, but so did her sister. She paid $222.85 for them, face value, and now she needs to sell them because her sister's seats were better. They're on eBay with 6 days left in a 7-day auction and nobody's bid on them yet. I hope she recoups the money but if not she can go to the concert or donate them and take a write-off. Anyway it's more drama in my life as she's totally stressin' about being out $222.85. She's not 11Heather05 is she? I dunno ... maybe. On a side note we just won an auction for 4 tickets to the Cowboys-Bears game at Soldier Field on Sunday night!!! My buddy Jon is coming to town and we're going to fly the Cowboys flag and prepare for the Bears fans to throw stuff, cuss and show general malaise, or utter hatred, as the case may be, toward us. Anyway we have four tickets and I just put the other two up on eBay for what they cost us. So it's a big happy e-bay sellin' party up in here. HA! Reminds me of when the wife and I went to a KC-Bears game quite a few years ago. She, a huge Chief's fan, was attracking the attention of a couple of drunk boys (not men, too young) behind us. They kept calling me "New Trier" in reference to a fairly nice school in the Northern Burbs, which I of course did not attend. Anyway, tt got worse and worse. I finally turned around and said "Boys, listen, I understand your jealousy about my superior education compared to your sub-par experience, but it's not my fault you were born idiots." I didn't think it was that good, but it actually shut them up. Actually, I think it was the laughing of everyone around them that shut them up. They left a few minutes later. Hmmm.... so you have tickets to see the boys. Man, that's tempting. |
