I just figured out that you can order from Performance and ship it to the store for free!  The store is pretty close to me, so that is a pretty big savings.

Argyle armwarmers:

argyle

Don't like the new ones in the team kit. Yes, it's July and I don't need them, but they only had a few sizes left and I had a coupon.

If I start wearing them to work, then I know I have a problem. Although they would be so convenient! The lab is cold...it's warm outside.

I like arm warmers a lot more than long-sleeved jerseys.  They're nice for fall and spring because you can take them off if you get too warm.  Might get some leg warmers this year for the same reason.

They are broadcasting the Nathan's hot dog eating contest on ESPN right now.  It's pretty funny how much hype there is for the like 2 minutes of competition.  Still, nothing is more patriotic than people stuffing their face with as many hot dogs as they can, right?

No kidding!!  Makes me think it would be funny to have a Gu eating contest associated with a tri, though.  That would really make your stomach hurt!!

My cats are like little kids today.  I keep having to referee fights.

Taji (slightly older girl) is laying on a blanket next to me.  Griffin (younger boy) decided he wants to play so he was batting at her head.  I put him on the floor.  He comes back, walks over her, and bites her paws while she's sleeping.  Poor kitty, she just wants to sleep.

Good afternoon, Nibbs!

Hope everyone's 4th is going well. My hubby and I survived the metric century. I did all the climbs and didn't have to get off my bike once. Yay! I saw my highest HR ever on the bike, a 187. I'm sure it was on one of the "grunts" (hill so steep they make you grunt). They even spray paint "grunt" at the bottom just to make sure you are fully aware of what you are doing. I rode with my hubby, my coach and three other friends. We had a great time, but I am tired. I'm not sure how I'll stay awake for fireworks tonight

My friend Susan adjusted my bike seat for me.  What a difference moving it up a bit and more forward made in the ride afterward!  Definitely felt better, even in aero--which will be easier cause I'll be in a better position   Yay!!!  I love riding when it feels right.
