I had the laziest day without being sick in a long long long time. I read a book and then, got food stuff ready for taking to the dock. I did throw a load of laundry in the washer but didn't get around to putting it in the dryer.

Morning Ghoulies.

Happy Summer Solstice! I am gonna have to put the air conditioning on today. This is as long as we have put it off. It still cools down pretty well at night and this old house takes a while to heat up during the day. But once it does, it takes a long time to cool down.

Tonight is the annual Solstice boat tie up in the lake. Bunches of boats get together and it is a floating party. It would be a whole lot more fun if the folks didn't turn it into a God Bless America gathering with the Star Spangled Banner at the sunset. Cracks me up that these folks take an ancient rite and turn it into something patriotic. I always crown the sunset with a dive in the water that makes the towns people cringe. It is funny to see folks dress up and don the best jewelry to float on the lake. Hope I get to go, the DH is leaving town for a few days and my mom's hip is hurting her. If she can't go, we'll go to the Irish pub in town and celebrate our way.

Good news ... hot water leak was at the hose going into tank. quick & cheap fix. Tank is old and it's gonna go one of these days, but I'm thankful not today.
