My favorite pub ever is there. It's called the Quays, on quay st, it's an awesome pub if you get a chance to hot it up. Are you going to the aran islands? Have a great time! We are in a hotel on quay st, so I will definitely look for that pub. Thanks for the tip. I'm heading out to the Aran islands today - hoping for the beautiful weather we had yesterday for the Cliffs. Thanks!
Perhaps that is where the Epic bar fight will go down after you use all the 'vocab' Allen taught us!
YES!!!!
Definitely try to make it to the Qays for the game, Made it there for a few rugby matches great atmosphere and most of the locals help us non-european sport watching people figure out how to properly enjoy it |

A low of 0-2 degrees overnight. AYFKM? Ah-no, that's not right. It's supposed to be like, 70 (or 21 C) MAYBE a low of 55 (12) When are you coming into town? I *COULD* get a beer (carbo load for you) tomorrow Well, hopefully they forgot the 1 in front of those numbers and they mean 10 or 12, cause that is ridiculous!!! We are rolling in around 8 am tomorrow--might be a bit early for beer . The agility trial starts at 9:30 tomorrow morning. Why, I don't know, you'd think most people have to work...I have no idea what time the trial will be done tomorrow afternoon. I'll try to PM you when I know and we'll see if we can make it work. I like beer carbo loading |

Master 4452 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod Just came back from a short run at lunch--had to go to the bank, so combined the two. Now I am absolutely starving, and I need to eat before even getting changed. Is it wrong that I have put a (freshly laundered) lab coat on so that I don't get spaghetti sauce on my running clothes?? |

So I didn't get my workout in... At least I didn't get wet! I went into work early. So, no workout today Why does one close the indoor pool for thunderstorms? I guess you end up with a forced rest day, maybe someone was trying to tell you that you needed it? |

The lifeguard said it's not mandatory, but most indoor pools follow it. I kinda felt guilty that I didn't workout yesterday... but, today is a new day Happy Friday everyone!! Anyone racing this weekend? Training? Lets hear those plans!! I'm heading to do two loops on the IMWI course, it's going to be a long time in the car, but it'll be good to get on that hilly course!! |

Our monsoon season is coming though so I may have to be creative with my swim training in those weeks. |

Seattle | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod I had an incredibly emotional run on Wednesday. Physically it was tough. One of those rare days where you just don't want to get out there and emotionally it was a rollercoaster! I got a nice little redemption run in last night. It was 10pm and I ran along the beach with my headlamp and the moonlight. I can normally hold myself back and be reasonable but last night I just needed to unleash. I am quite sure I was running sub 5K pace for 6 miles or so, totally breaking my training rules (don't tell anyone) |

I got to do it when I was in Georgia for 6 months. Very theraputic. 2) Sometimes you just need to throw the rule book out the window and do what the body wants to do... |

As far as being real about what I'm doing, I just don't have the energy for this some days. Still trying to get my thyroid function back in normal range, but it could take months. I'm not pushing myself. That just leads to me getting hurt. |

Extreme Veteran 536 | Subject: RE: Yanti & Salty MAD MANATEES Part 2 -- Full Pod hello POD! I haven't been able to keep up as well, but I just finished reading through a good 9 pages of posts. Congrats to everyone who raced last weekend, and sounds like most everyone is doing well. Claire it sounds like you had some real challenges to deal with, good for you! Felicia, it's so nice to hear about your DH doing all that for you! What a guy! Salty - sub 5K for 6 miles! That sounds like an amazing run in the moonlight. Reece - glad you made it through the ride in 1 piece Allen - sign up for the Oly! I've got one Aug. 26 and I think I might be crazy for doing it, but go ahead and be crazy with me! We can do it, even if we look like dead fish in the swim Tracy - congrats on the puke-worthy effort. Talk about redlining! I puked after my very first 5K! Kirk - stranger pee, ew. Melanie - sounds like you are rocking your training! Janyne - thanks for all the inspires! YANTI - I don't know who you pissed off in karma land, but you are gettin' it good! When does this end for you, my dear? I am hoping and praying that you just get some time for rest and relaxation, get healthy and get to enjoy some fun training. Hang in there, you are definitely an amazingly strong person! Ok, that's all I can remember to respond to off the top of my head, but happy training to everyone else and I hope you all have a great weekend! I'm taking DH to Boston for his bday, sunset cruise tomorrow night, steak dinner, staying at a lovely hotel with panoramic window views of the city, then a Freedom Trail photography tour Sunday morning. Training will be hard to fit in, I was going to try to squeeze a bike in before my horseback riding tomorrow morning, but it's cutting it too close. Oh well, I rode 27.5 miles last night (farthest EVER!) stregnth this am, run this afternoon. Swimming...needs to get back on the docket on a regular basis ASAP! Need to figure out how I'm going to swim 800m straight in a month from yesterday... |
