I NEED TO TAKE HOW TO BE SUPER FLY LESSONS FROM YOU, NEAL! any chance you can couch me to a -22 minute PR for my race?!! WAY TO GO YOU! stacieb |

Was on pace for a BQ until about mile 17 or so when things sorta started going downhill. Perhaps I'll figure out this pacing thing in another marathon or 2..... YAAAYY NEAL! Sounds like your race went better than my race! haha This is basically my overview...the race is called Tuffest Three...three member relay--run-bike-run...run 1-6.9km, bike 23km, run 2-4.6km...it was 3 degrees celcius, 93% humidity and 20km/h winds.....basically all that equals friggin cold....and I had the bike...i couldn't bend my fingers after about 3-4 laps then they gradually started to be okay and I was wearing gloves...and a balaklava..it was pretty darn awesome...haha oh well...Don't know my exact time yet! I'm currently lying in bed because it is the warmest place I can think of...I just want to sleep...haha...im holding off for now...if i go to bed now I'm not getting up till tomorrow! I don't even know why I'm so tired...I blame the cold though I think!!! Congrats to Neal and all others who raced today!!! MELISSA. have you thawed out yet? your race report reminded me of my first full Sprint Tri this season. took me 24 hours to thaw out/get warm. snug in your bed. good thinkin'! wooo hooo you! stacieb |

I did a little run yesterday, further than the plan called for, but less than I was actually set out to do. They have had a nasty couger hanging in the area, some hungry bears, and two wolves. It was either take a loop where there were some houses, or have my gma follow me with a car. Yeah, that is what I want, my own personal overweight running critic! and here i thought running/cycling trying to avoid getting struck by the Suburban women haphazardly driving their SUVs while talking on their cell phones was precarious. cougars, bears and wolves. are you frigging kidding me? you've got me beat. handsdown. i guess they dont make a can of mace big enough to ward off any of those animals, huh? RUN SAFE. stacieb Edited by skrtrnr 2009-10-04 8:42 PM |

I stated I wanted animals to criminals.....ummm excuse me could you pass me the salt, I am about ready to eat my words. |

RUN SAFE. stacieb At least you can try to dodge the cars, or spray the dogs, but the cougar likes to stalk and sneak up on you. For the cat, I was told to never run from them...so what do you do when you are already runnnning! The bear, I was told to carry a bell, or anything to make noise. I figured my ragged, panting breath would do. For the wolves....I was simply told I was sh**$#$ out of luck! As much as I love the country...I sure love the city! |
