I was thinking earlier that I need to stop on my way home and see if I can get some chocolate pie for Keri and I.

I finally got to see Disney's Frozen. It was FANTASTIC! I really enjoyed it. Best line in the movie "You can't marry a man you just met." Thank you Disney, it is about frickin' time!

I have a gripe for the day. There is a 3 on 3 basketball tournament this weekend close to home. There can be a max of 4 girls on the team. Keri, and 3 other girls on her basketball team wanted to play. Another girl, who really isn't that good, missed a lot of practices, didn't play in a couple of games just because she didn't want to, and her mom said she couldn't play in the tournament, gave the papers about it to the coach, so the coach felt they had to let her be on the team. Another mom said her daughter didn't have to play if there was going to be a problem. So they still had 4. Another girl, who is a 6th grader bumped Keri off of the team, because the coach thought it was only fair to let the 6th graders have first choice. No, that isn't fair. That girl was never at a Saturday game, and missed 1/3 of the practices because she was at gymnastics. Keri was at every practice, and game, even when her arm was broken and she couldn't play. It isn't about what grade you're in, it is about dedication, and Keri has it. It just makes me mad. Grrrr

You just KNEW it was Pi day!

I hate when things like that happen. It teaches that lack of dedication and interest is rewarded. Poor coaching choices.

It's like a 6th sense

time for me to rant.

Yesterday, I was forwarded a 150 page clean up work plan for a site. There has been allegations of buried drums and the investigation has been going on for 5 months. I was requested to review the plan. I asked for e-mails and other info so I could catch up on what was going on at the site. I spent several hours reviewing documents, updating myself on the processes so I could know what they should test for. Come to find out, they are sampling today. I would have told them to do some different tests, collect more samples, etc. My time reviewing was wasted. As another friend said, don't waste my time, I can waste it just fine by myself.

Who is doing the sampling? If you were requested to review the plan, does that mean that you have input, and you can send them back out to do the tests that should have been done today?

I am not sure who is doing the sampling, us or them.  or them with us splitting, or what tests they are doing. and NO. if it is done wrong, we can require them to do it over, but that is tricky and we don't have the funds to do a second sampling ourselves.

It is Friday.  I'm going home soon.  Might go to a bike (bicycle) show tomorrow.  Better hide the checkbook and charge card.

I am WFH today. We are getting a snowy, little bit of sleet, wintery mix. We could get some frozen rain on Wednesday. The only bright spot about this is I don't have to go into the office.
