I've heard lots of good things about their systems. My issue with the 2bros pipe for mine is basically because this is what the tail looks like from the factory and I think the 2bros takes away from it. BTW: not my bike, but one in someone's user album on the triumph site I post on. http://www.triumphrat.net/memberalbums/showphoto.php/photo/5880/ppuser/11150/sl/sSprint_DA - 2008-05-09 9:27 AM Rynamite - 2008-05-09 8:09 AM I know what you mean about 2bro's. They are the one major manufacturer who builds exhaust for mine and it isn't even close to the best looking. Big step back from stock: http://www.twobros.com/cgi-bin/shopper?search=action&sku=005-15... The integrated tail with signals on the footpegs sounds interesting. Some day I will either sell this bike or get rid of the mudflap that came on the back of it.Sprint_DA - 2008-05-09 9:00 AM Rynamite - 2008-05-09 7:54 AM double bubbles and flushmounts are overrated. Actually the only mods I really hate on sportbikes are lowering, stretching, chrome, and that stupid integrated brake light where you don't have rear turn signals anymore. Because car drivers see that. Edited: at least you don't have to worry about exchange rate. For the really popular exhaust for the Sprint you have to go through a company out of England called Wolf. I think they finally lowered the cost of what is basically a slip on to just under $1k.Sprint_DA - 2008-05-09 8:49 AM Rynamite - 2008-05-09 7:36 AM I'd call customer service at the second place and ask them if they will price match the first place. No need to tell them it's backordered. After that I'd probably just buy it, unless your exhaust is a lot cheaper than the options out there for my Triumph $90 is just another drop in the bucket. That's why mine still has the original silencer on it.Alright... I ordered exhaust for my streetbike. I got an awesome price, but they just called and said it's backordered til the beginning of July. Bah. There's another place that it's in stock and can ship the same day.... but it's $90 more. If it were something different, I'd probably just wait... however that's 2 months of summer that I'm not gonna get to use it if I do. Think it's worth the extra 90 bucks to have it sooner? I tried that. They WILL match the price.... in 2 months as well. Apparently there are 2 different kinds of distributorships, and the one that gets the better price is super backordered, the other is available. Yeah... it's not cheap... so $90 in the scheme of things isn't that big of a difference. It would take a nice chunk out of the frame sliders I ordered, though... or a fender eliminator kit... or a double bubble windshield... or flushmount signals... I was planning on doing the integrated tail light... BUT also getting rear pegs with LED's that work as turn signals... to increase visibility. They look pretty sweet, and you can't even tell they're there until they're blinking, then they're super bright. That sucks about the exhaust... it's crazy how expensive that stuff is getting. I could go with Yosh or Two Brothers and save a bunch of money... but they're obnoxiously loud... and kinda junky. That doesn't look toooo bad.... but you're right. At least they put it under the seat, that's how mine is too. I hate the trend of the little tiny sidepipe. I think they look stupid. Here's what I'm getting. Wow, that triumph exhaust is tight.... I really like the dual on the Yamaha R1 (my attainable dream bike), but that triple is really cool looking.... My unobtainable dream bike - Ducati 1098R First of all... anything is obtainable Second of all... if you're gonna get a liter bike, get a CBR 1000RR. I know, that is one schweet bike too. But something about the Yamaha just calls out to my soul..... I think that the Honda just looks a little stockier to me (MUCH better than a couple years ago). The Yamaha just looks a little leaner and a touch more stealth. But dang, I would take either one in a heart beat..... However, the Ducati looks pretty beefy too, and I love that - go figure - must me the v-twin power band I like.... Can't seem to get my head/heart around kawasakis any more. I used to love them back in the day.... |

Sensei Sin City | Subject: RE: TAN 24: TANgerine Speedo.. Rynamite - 2008-05-09 10:28 AM Alright, TAN. My buddy and I are throwing a huge party tomorrow night. We rented this party hall place, with a huge yard outside. Fire pit, horse shoes, beer pong, and flip cup. I booked a guy from State College to play acoustic and sing, plus he has all the karaoke equipment. We got one of the local meat markets to cater it. Pulled pork, beef, potato salad, macaroni salad, etc. We got 4 half kegs to start, and the local distributor will deliver more as we need them. We're starting early tomorrow morning, and staying all night. The acoustic dude is coming at 3... and said he'd play til everyone passes out. A bunch of people are sleeping in tents... I'm sleeping in the back of my Jeep. We've done this before... last time we had 268 people that paid (we charge $10 per person... then it's all you can eat and drink). Plus there were people that came and didn't pay, I'm sure. We went through 11 half kegs that time... and ran out of beer. You're all invited Dang, that's almost worth the trip. That's my kind of good time fo sho..... It would be after my event too. If you were in CA, I'd be there...... |

That's my kind of good time fo sho..... It would be after my event too. If you were in CA, I'd be there...... It's always a blast. I actually got a text the other day from a girl that said "I heard about a party saturday, is it yours?" When I replied yes she replied "yessssss". Heh. People have tried to replicate it... but they never do it right. They try to make their own food... and that's not worth it. Catering ends up being cheaper, plus there are no headaches. They try to buy cases of beer... but that's a pain cuz of all the bottles and cans, PLUS it's more expensive. They try to just play music over a stereo system... but that's not nearly as fun as live music and karaoke. Catering and Keg - that's the secret. Less work, better quality, more of it..... Less cleanup. I throw a July 4th that people talk about all year, I'm proud to say! Eveyone asks me "are you going to throw the July 4th party again? That's the BEST party of the summer!" It usually goes to 4 or 5 am and the police have had to shut us down a couple times...... My friends like it becuase all of my wife's model and dancer friends let loose and get crazy. It's hot so there is minimal clothing.... Fireworks, lots to drink - jello shots are a hit..... Can't wait..... |

You should see how it chews people up. Literally, I have seen people arrive and they look young and lively and active. A couple years of serious partying (and I'm talking about EVERY NIGHT), and they look old, skin looks weathered and pale, eyes sunken.... Sad really..... But the draw of parties, sex, drugs, and alcohol is too much for some to resist.... |

That sounds like a pretty sweet party, you want to have the next one a little bit closer to Iowa? And...if you're going to buy a litrebike the 1098 is the way to go. Personally though, I don't see the need, middleweights handle better and still go fast enough to get my license revoked in any state. If I get a sportbike anytime soon I will get a Duc 848 or a Triumph 675. |
