Ok, now how cool would it have been if I could have gotten TOPPAGE for post 1000? Alas, it was post 997.

Mel!!! You got 1000!!! Congrats!!!

Thanks!! I'm slower than some of the other BT folks. It took me just shy of 13 months to get to 1000. I joined BT on Sept. 9, 2007.

Took me longer than that to get my first 1000... I joined in August 2005... and hit my first 1000 some time around this time last year! (I think July when I ran my first challenge so thats pretty much 2 years to reach it!)

as for the other 14,000.. well I started running challenges in July last year and that was that!

Morning Dark Arts!

Congratulations on 1000 Mel!

I had a nice run going this morning until 1.  I smelled a skunk (ewwww) and 2.  Simultaneously got blinded by headlights and rolled my ankle on eneven pavement which meant I went down on the road. Ankle is tender, no cute heels today that's for sure.  I'll bring a baggie in for ice today.

GOOD MORNING!!!!! Rise and shine!! I'm not being sarcasting at all.... ;-) While Judi was already out and twisting her ankle (ouch - sorry to hear that).... I was still in bed for another 1.5 hours. ;-)

Will do spinning and running tonight... That's the plan anyways.... Distance of running depends on the spinning instructor...

Kristin

I'm playing 2Goggs in Fantasy Football today - wish me luck!

Ha! I hope you kick his a$$! BTW, he might have mentioned that you suck at fantasy football. I was supposed to just tell you I heard you sucked, and not necessarily attribute it to him, but I like you better so I'll just pass his smack talk right along

Give him he!!. That will make me smile

ask him who has been in the money more - him or me????

Nice toppage, Travis!

Hi Kristin!

oh, and I beat 2Goggs in Fantasy Football today

I was just going to ask! That's brilliant. I'll be sure to rub it in, especially when I see him later this week

oh, and be sure to mention the fact that had he played his team right, he totally would have kicked my azz

ummm, he left 80 pts on the bench

I'll just revel in the fact that you beat him if that's ok

that's ok by me - I don't want to hurt his feelings too much

I'm sure he's kicking himself!

Dark Arts notes – 10/06 (am)

The team members of the Dark Arts seem to have a special knack for talking to themselves, which is doing wonders for our post count!  I think Travis said it best “High post counts and many workouts, sounds like multitasking to me.”

I feel the need to point out that there was some good training talk around the subject of aquajogging and use of an elliptical to avoid injury.

Phil started an informal poll on favorite guilt-laden snacks
·          Lastcall2003 – Fritos
·          QueenZipp - Chocolate chips for baking, straight out of the bag
·          1TT - Peanut M&Ms or Dorito's Nachos chips
·          LazyMarathoner -Chocolate milkshake (black and white, not with chocolate ice cream), wine
·          BunnyB – Oreos
·          Ratkat – mozartkugeln(that’s a mouthful ) (pistacio and marzipan covered in chocolate) ... or my mum's home baked cheesecake.

Phil (1stTimeTri)-  was bestowed a new nickname from his loving teammate Kristin, he is affectionate referred to as Philthy (he he – good one Kristin!).  He went bowling with his wife and youngest – enjoyed some Beer and fried foods (not sure why I capitalized the B in beer???)

Steve (AccidentalChef)-  Steve is wondering how we all have time to train and post – team, we need to teach Steve the fine art of multi-tasking

Melissa (BunnyB) –  Is preparing for a 10 day visit from a friend – thank goodness he’s a runner, which means Melissa will full time access to a workout partner for 10 days……Melissa officially lost all of her stars when she posted her 1K post!  Congratulations!

Emily (esc) –  did some tailgating, shopping and running over the weekend

Cat (kaqphin)- Has a list of favorite foods that was too long to fit in Phil’s poll – my personal favorite is a Peanut Slab………..Cat, what the heck is a Peanut Slab?  Oh, and we learned that Aussies don’t drink Fosters, they only export it – now that’s funny!  Cat got TOPPAGE!
Kendra (kns57)- is exhausted from her  weekend of hiking

Beth (lastcall2003)- Beat 2Goggs in Fantasy Football – he really should have won – but he played the wrong line up –oops!

Matt (mdb) – has nice new shoes and they feel goooooooooood!

Judi (QueenZipp) – her favorite football team is whoever is playing Dallas – LOL! I like that way of thinking!  Uh oh, the Queen took a little spill on her while on her Monday morning run – she was blinded by skunk smell and headlights and the uneven payment did her in – Hope you are ok!!!

Kathrin (ratkat) – Hmmmm, a little overindulgence in the fermented beverages on Saturday night, led to a later in the day arrival to the thread from Kathrin with no ‘E’

Travis (tlnewman)- Logs his Ran the race for the cure on Sunday, he was able to get in front of the walkers and actually run the race – his legs were complaining about all the miles he logged this week (are you sure they weren’t complaining about that Wii Fit workout you logged? )

Sharon (zeefraugtries) – Stopped in to say hi and is looking for how to find cute pics (I just google on terms and then look in the images search results – let me know if you need any help with how to get them posted)

Kristin (LazyMarathoner) – Finished the Army 10 in 1:23:22!  After which she took a long, lovely nap.  Which was followed by wine and TOPPAGE
