I should go to church, but after I had a weird experience at the church near my house I have not been (except for when I am visiting my parents and at the church I grew up in) in two to three years or so...I just thought it was odd that on Easter (this was a couple of years ago) the whole sermon was about how President Bush was evil...now I am a democrat and I was not a big Bush fan, but I don't think EASTER (or church at all) is the place to be discussing this...So now I go for a run and pray on Sunday mornings...its kind of my own church. Sorry about your experience but way to go for making your own place! I think that is truly what God is about..not some building with people saying you must do it "my" way. *independent TOPpage* can you tell my mom that!? PPPPLEEEEEEEEEEEASE! ha! I still can't figure out how to make my IL's understand! I highly doubt it would work for your mom! Although I will say I just don't listen to them if they bring it up....agree to disagree! |

Got the anti-jet lag jog done after landing. Hotel has a nice gym....and a pool! Almost unheard of over here. I brought my goggles so will try to get a quick swim in tonight as well. Enjoy your time over there. I just get to travel CONUS but don't complain too much about that. Would love some travel to Europe though (maybe? ) I try not to grumble too often. While it can be pretty tiring, I'm lucky that I've seen so much of the world. Munich is a great city. Octoberfest ended yesterday, but I'm sure that I'll manage to have a "bier" while here. |

Just 2 miles, and slow, but it's done! Way to go Debbie! Neal! How'd ya do today? Impatient for results TOPpage Great! Finished in 3:20:08 and set a 22 minute PR! Was on pace for a BQ until about mile 17 or so when things sorta started going downhill. Perhaps I'll figure out this pacing thing in another marathon or 2..... Great job Neal!! Wow 22 min PR!!!! |

Was on pace for a BQ until about mile 17 or so when things sorta started going downhill. Perhaps I'll figure out this pacing thing in another marathon or 2..... YAAAYY NEAL! Sounds like your race went better than my race! haha This is basically my overview...the race is called Tuffest Three...three member relay--run-bike-run...run 1-6.9km, bike 23km, run 2-4.6km...it was 3 degrees celcius, 93% humidity and 20km/h winds.....basically all that equals friggin cold....and I had the bike...i couldn't bend my fingers after about 3-4 laps then they gradually started to be okay and I was wearing gloves...and a balaklava..it was pretty darn awesome...haha oh well...Don't know my exact time yet! I'm currently lying in bed because it is the warmest place I can think of...I just want to sleep...haha...im holding off for now...if i go to bed now I'm not getting up till tomorrow! I don't even know why I'm so tired...I blame the cold though I think!!! Congrats to Neal and all others who raced today!!! ohhhhh myyyyyy! You definitely get the HTFU badge of honor! I love to race/train but I think the cold would have won on this one if it was me! |

Elite 3447 West Allis, WI | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge ilucy2 - 2009-10-04 6:23 PM Hi there team...!!! I think I left you guys at 43 pages, you have all done WELL!! I did a little run yesterday, further than the plan called for, but less than I was actually set out to do. They have had a nasty couger hanging in the area, some hungry bears, and two wolves. It was either take a loop where there were some houses, or have my gma follow me with a car. Yeah, that is what I want, my own personal overweight running critic! ummmmm think I would cut the run short! I ran around the park with the dog and there is a very large coyote that is hanging around. He was laying in the middle of the park the entire run. I was supposed to do 4 loops but cut it to 2. People say it won't do anything but how do they know??? and the DNR is not going to do anything about it. |

Wow - we have a guest speaker this weekend and he was talking about how obedience can lead to legalism and sounds like that is at work here! I wore a bike jersey to church last week (Team Astana that I won through Trek during the TdF) and some people were so Bill do you think that is appropriate. I basically said that if I get to Heaven and God calls me out for how I dressed at church I will be good with that because it is not about our clothes (or where we worship Him, or many other things) people, it is about our relationship with Him. They didn't really like that response x2 |

I've got my bike on the trainer, so I'll be taking a little spin later. Tomorrow I'll be doing the first run of my HM plan. Here we go! Weather for today - showers. Go figure. I'll second the happy monday! *ducks* Mondays that involve me not working are always happy, even if I can barely walk without crying. |
