Extreme Veteran 671 Not Quite DFL | Subject: RE: November CRUSHERS I'm sorry I didn't do better folks. I misjudged how much I wouldn't do. I still have a run to enter, not that it will matter much. If we do a challenge, I might be up for that. I might try the fruitcake thing too. I've been at a conference the last 3 days - so - haven't stepped on the scale - but pretty sure I've gained weight. sigh |

Not really... but I am planning to do 4 bikes and 3 runs per week, improve my nutrition, and *hopefully* lose some inches and weight. What are everyone else's goals who plan to do the crushers challenge next month? We could base our theme decision on a common goal theme? Still working on my goals... Runnings a big one 3x a week at least. Biking 3x a week. Swimming I think I'm going to go with 14,000 yards but that all depends on whether I can join the Y in my hometown over Christmas break. Strength training 3x a week. I resume swimming in January because there's one in the apartment I'm moving to. Right now we're not on speaking terms. Swimming seems to be that way with people. We just got back on semi good terms so I'm hoping we get along since i joined the swim challenge but I'm not doing 100 miles. Goals for Dont be a fruitcake challenge: Run 30 miles, Bike 120 miles, 12 strength sessions, 2400 pushup/situps. Maybe we could do a pushup challenge? My wrist is on the fritz, but if everyone wants to do that I will still come to the message board and hang out! No we want you to be able to participate too!!! How about strength training?? |

Should we set up a December Crusher thread? I think that's a great idea. At the same time, I really like the not-a-fruitcake challenge ... and everyone participating might not want to be reading our 100 posts a day about ... um ... I don't know... sexually transmitted diseases and whatnot So maybe you could ask Dee if we all could jump in, but have our own thread? You know, just to be POLITE and not annoy everyone? *** I'm on the world's SLOWEST net connex and it's taking forever to get into logs, or even into/out of spreadsheet ... as soon as I'm on a (relatively) fast connex I'll do all the checking, asking, and tallying (meaning results will come out at the exact moment nobody cares anymore. Ha). |

That way we can take part in other challenges but also have the crushers to motivate and play fun sexually transmitted diseases alphabet games without annoying people in other challenge threads |

I'm glad I was ahead of the game when I got sick and only had a days worth to do. So far we're looking pretty good as a team. Thanks for all your support crushers. I wouldn't have done it without you. Of course you would have! We just helped. Nope. I wouldn't have. Not to this degree. I wouldn't set goals this high without the encouragement of the group and these challenges. |

I guess its what I deserve for the runaway program I had yesterday that bogged everything down for the whole company. (oops) |

It's my fault actually... without checking my stats (because it takes soo long to load) I'd say I'm -1000 posts in November compared to October. Edited by mbasta 2010-12-02 7:31 AM |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: November CRUSHERS CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!! on a phenomenal effort by everybody to get to the finish line. A very special CONGRATULATIONS to everybody who hit 100% in at least one of their goals. A SUPER SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO: owl_girl of the Ghoulish for exceeding 100% overall and dimplespoo and wplummer of the Crushers for also exceeding 100% overall! Big round of applause! As for the final winners ... because I'm lazy (actually, not, but I'm not PMing everyone and checking logs against spreadsheets and all that biz), it's well into December, and ... Okay, so what I did was drop all the scores from BOTH teams that were under 50%, because clearly something happened, but nobody let us know. I figured it was fair because it was a nice arbitrary number and, well, yeah. I ain't doin' fancy calculations either, sorry. Rhonda of the Crushers as the winner of the when-Judi-runs bonus challenge round got an extra 15% on her total. Again this Challenge was very very close and the final scores are: GHOULISH 83.49% CRUSHERS 81.76% (I still don't think that's statistically significant , but it will do for now) CONGRATULATIONS GHOULISH!!!!! |
