I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

Nice race Neal! WOOHOO!!!

Nice to see you stopping by Queen Stacie!!!

I was very lazy yesterday. I think that was due to the fact that my kids were up at 5:30 yesterday morning, and I did not want to be. I couldn't get moving yesterday morning. I tried to go back to bed but I couldn't fall asleep.

I went out yesterday afternoon and hid in the woods for my friend and his dog to get some Search And Rescue practice. We were hoping the rain had passed, but there was a light drizzle. Rain doesn't scare me though so it was all good.

Also, I got a nasty tick bite on Saturday.  After my bike I scraped a small (very, very tiny) brown spot off my temple that I'm pretty sure was a tick.  Today it is pretty swollen and red.  Sad that I am apparently so slow that ticks can launch themselves onto my body while riding (although to be fair, I did stop a few times).

Keep an eye on that Kim. If it was very, very small it may have been a deer tick, and those are the type that are most likely to carry Lyme Disease. If it gets red, or you get the distinctive bulls eye around it GET TO YOUR DOCTOR FAST!!!!!!

Hmmmm.  It is pretty red and swollen today. And it definitely was small.  I thought it was a speck of dirt or mud.   May stop by the walk-in clinic tonight after work just to be safe.  Not needing Lyme disease to muck things up right now.

Good morning Ghoulies.

Back is feeling much better.  Still a little tight, but i'm going to go to dance tonight.

Short staffed at the library today, so won't be around much.

ironannekidd - 2010-05-22 1:32 PM This is my day so far.

I took my son trout fishing in a stream this morning, the first time he's ever done this. My dad went along with us and between the 3 of us we caught 18 fish,  but only 1 trout.

I had my cell with me, but had it in my fishing pack and wasn't paying attention to it. At one point my husband called and left a message telling me he had an accident with a saw and was wondering if he should go to the hospital. Before I got the message he called again and I picked up then. He told me his mom bandaged up his fingers. I told him we'd be home in less than an hour.

He went over two of his fingers, right at the base of the nail with a circular saw. It isn't deep, but he will lose the nails. He finished what he was doing after his mom patched him up and the bandages were soaked through.

I just redid the bandaging and now I won't let him lift anything with that hand. I have them packed pretty good so it is making it difficult to use that hand. GOOD. So for the next few days I'll have to try and keep them clean and covered for him so he doesn't get an infection. He works on computers so he will be much slower next week, but the college kids are gone so there is less pressure.

Hopefully the rest of the day is less eventful. The kids and I need to drop some stuff off at a friends house later and we may do some geocaching on the way home.

ugh..hope hubby is ok.

kcarroll - 2010-05-23 8:27 AM So Saturday turned into a lovely day.  I rode in the morning with my girl gang.  I wind up riding out and back a lot to check on them as they chat more than pedal.  Actually, it works out fine.  I get more miles in than they want to ride, have peeps on the same route in case something happens, and catch up on their lives. Iced coffee and pastry post ride, then home to clean up and head into the city.  I had a late lunch in the village, did some people watching and got my hair cut.  Impulse mani/pedi on the way back to my car and home before dark.  All in all, a nice girly day.

Not sure what today will bring.  It is getting ready to pour and I'm still in my jams.  Maybe a trainer ride with a movie later this afternoon.   Oh, and a trip to the grocery store for sure.  Slow Sunday.

sounds like a great day you had! thinking I might just have to do that on my rides with my tri group...we have a few that are a bit slower then I'd like to go.

wgraves7582 - 2010-05-23 7:32 PM Howdy Ghoulies.

Day started off with a beautiful ride, then I got to watch my kids help lead worship at church, then celebrated my son's birthday with the family, then got in a nice 40 mile ride with a great buddy, then wrapped the night up with Subway with the wife and picked the kids up at youth group.

Won't be around much tomorrow - day off again and I am mowing, errands, mountain biking, and son has a concert at night!

Sounds like you had a great Sunday Bill!

Hello!!

Wow, lots of injuries, sickness and ticks!!!  Take care everyone!  Hope that everyone recovers well and quickly!

Great racing, Amy and Neal.  Did I miss someone?  Sorry.

We decided to keep the little puppy that showed up in our garage.  There have been no lost puppy reports with Humane Society that match and no responses to the sign we put up.  So now for the joys of house-breaking!  Undecided  But she sure is fun.  Our older dog is doing pretty well with her.

Have a great day, everyone!

Morning everyone! Had a good weekend here. Did the HIM bike course on Sunday with some BT'rs. It was hothothot! also didn't have enough fluids with me..time to get the aero bottle I have been putting off! ended up with a headache, neck is a bit stiff today. legs were trashed after the ride and have no idea how I will run a 1/2 mary after the bike! Today I feel good, went for a 40 min walk...so wanted to run but could feel the hip pulling so played it safe. I see the PT again tomorrow. I have been a good patient and have been doing my stretches! But know it will take more to be able to run.  I have a swim, vive and 3 water classes today. Have a great day all!
