GomesBolt - 2013-01-25 12:34 PM Haha. I couldn't help it. I'm more Rick Perry than Barrack Obama myself.

By the way, I made a friend. Not a work friend, a real guy friend. Gonna watch the Super Bowl with him.

So now that Lisa's guy friend is out of the picture we get to hear about yours to fill in the void?

Hahhaaa yes yes... tell us about your new friend! Be descriptive.

Agreed we need to hear if there is any ackwardness.  And you already have plans that far out....hmmmmm

GomesBolt - 2013-01-25 1:20 PM First off, I agree with SamyG

Second, not gonna be as much fun as Lisa's fling.

I met him at a prison ministry training session and we met up again this week at the prison. He's a former Jarhead like me. We mostly grunt back and forth and break things... And fold maps impeccably.

Fix that for you. Conjugal visitation rights are a savior!

GomesBolt - 2013-01-25 1:26 PM Again, you'd need some gene therapy for that. The Y chromosome is where map-folding and liking pickup-trucks resides.

Yeah I don't particularly like pickup trucks for day to day wear.  They are to light in the back and need to have some weight over the wheels to get decent traction in slippery spots.  Now if we are talking about going out to cut firewood or something then a pickup is the vehicle to have.

I ate stuff.  I'm on another bread machine kick.  Made a cinnamon swirl bread.  I also bought a new gatorade flavour (as the kanucks spell it)  It's a lime-cucumber.  It wasn't bad.

Well, we have one of those D-bag bosses.  That LOVE to blame.

He blames us for everything, whether it's our fault or not...

For example, he's the kind of guy that if you don't tell him something - he get's mad.

If you bring it up that you DID tell him, then he says "fine, you told me, BUT you didn't tell me again or tell me how important it was".

Then if you point to an email where we said it was important, he says "fine, you said it was important, but if it was THAT important, you should have persisted even though I dismissed it.  When you said it was important, I didn't know it was THAT important".

I don't know where I've seen the duck song before. But I remember hoping for more the last time too.

Fried chicken song is particularly funny because we love to get some fried chicken after church on Sundays. We'll have to play that in the car.

Someone introduced me to some  funny Youtube videos the other day.  something like "failed lip reading" or something.  They had one for the NFL, Twilight, Hunger games...  It's pretty freaking funny.

Maybe I can find links.

ETA:  I found them but too many to post.  Just search for "bad lip reading" and ENJOY!

Do tell.  I had a relapse of my cold.  I feel under the weather again.  My boss has strep and bronchitis for 3 weeks now.  I hope I don't have that.  No sore throat or cough, so I think I'm ok.

I sooo would not survive long at your company, because I'd be going off on him like a spider monkey.

Kido(Jim) my advice with a bad boss is get to somewhere else ASAP.

I stayed in a group headed by a jerk for 4 years and I just had my year end review this week and my current boss (much better) showed me my Talent assessment and how for 4 years, I was dragging (as were the other 4 people who worked for that guy) and only in the last 2 years (under new bosses) have I emerged.

Current boss and his boss are so good. I want to get things done for them. I got things done in spite of the first guy.

I suffered from a bad sense of loyalty with boss 1 because I had just left the military where you don't choose your boss, you just perform and your numbers will show for you. Here in civilian world it's so much more about connections and politics.

I think I was unclear.  Boss as in client.  My work boss is cool and we rant about the D-bag client "boss".  And yes, we don't plan to work for this client again IF the project is run by the same guy.

It's been snowing like crazy all day here... like 3-4" so far, and I just checked the weather and it's going to be 55 degrees on Tuesday.  Cleveland weather sure is nutty.

I'm tired and want to go home. Swim & bike from yesterday are still kicking my butt and I'm sleepy.
