Sharkie - 2009-05-07 3:17 PM OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was applying for a job this morning (via email) and had created a "draft".  I still needed to modify my resume for the position, change up some of the language in my email (cover letter) and make a few points.  I don't know WTF happened.  The "draft" is now sitting in my sent items (time stamped 7:15am - I wasn't even AT the computer).  That bad boy was still in a very ROUGH DRAFT form and no resume was attached.  So do I go back with egg on my face aplogize and take another stab at the coverletter and attach my targeted resume this time?  Or do I just chalk that one up to a FAILED appliction knowing I will never get a call for an interview.

Can't hurt to send them an email explaining.  If you've already blown it, asking for a second chance won't make it worse.

Depends. I've hit a few sites where it won't let you "appy" a second time.

I'd certainly try to. Make a cover letter in word as an attachment and explain the error of thr first on in the body of the email. Can't hurt.

Depends on how much you like the job.  If you are really interested, make the changes and send them another email with the new one.  Otherwise, chalk it up to a failed application.

Sweet!  Figured some things out at work that were causing headaches.  Now I'm going to leave to pick up my road bike from the bike store and our food delivery from the co-op.  Should still get home early enough to run before the marathon meeting at 7.

Resend with an explanation.  If you are qualified, something like that won't be a deal breaker (at least not when I'm looking for someone).  Things like that happen.  They may understand and even laugh at it.

It's when you get crap and the person actually feels that it's a good resume.

That sucks!

Just make sure to take "Fantastic with Outlook." off of your resume.

Check your PM. It should warm up, um, other things.

Thank you, Scotty Pup. Why does the same thing always happen when we get left alone in TAN?
