blackledge - 2011-02-23 10:25 AM Thank you both very much!  Does your bday happen to be on 3/2??
Hmmm names...I suppose I can give a hint.  Will that help you?

It claims to be of British origin and it's nothing too unusual (most people would hopefully be able to spell it but then again you never know since people have trouble with mine).  That narrows it down a lot right?

Elizabeth???

And holy crud, when I saw this thread pop up in my email, I thought, OMGOMGOMG the baby's here!

Now that I'm calmed down I'll say that I wouldn't wish an overdue baby on anyone, but March 11th has always been a good day for me...Innocent

pga_mike - 2011-02-02 4:05 PM I am back from O-Town.  Ran my azz off (sort of) and lost 2 lbs while pounding food and drinking a beer or three every night.  Check my log.

This made me go "hm".  Not a "hmmmm" like what your brain does when you read a book title like "The Glass Books of the Dream Eaters" or "The Curious Case of the Dog in the Night".  Just "hm", like the sound your brain makes when you open a drawer in your kitchen and find that someone put a spoon in with the knives.

So Mike, thanks for dropping by and sharing.  If you'll also share a beer with me I'll give you directions back out of this thread which I believe you unintentionally stumbled into.  Although if you'll share your beer with everyone I can't imagine anyone would mind if you stuck around.  Even if you are a spoon.

I like him, can we keep him, or do you think he belongs to someone else?

You know, if you got any nicer, I think the planet would bump out of orbit. Just sayin'. No regrets ...

Yes, strangely enough, Mike does belong to us. Trust me, he is a Manatee. You should take a look at his flippers ...

and as for Mini Manatee RyRy ...

MARCH FORTH!

Oh, and yes, perhaps being born March 4th.

Q-- it's upcoming this Sunday, and I still haven't decided.  I think I may well walk the GDMF just so that I can wear the shirt I paid for.  But my cough is still pretty bad, so I know I won't be racing all out by any means.  Just need to decide whether I would rather finish my first HM no matter what or blow it off and not be able to wear the (very cool) shirt.

Ryan, watching in sweet anticipation for the little one.  I agree 3/2/11 is a cool sounding count-down of a birthday, but any day that the little one wants to make a healthy appearance is fine by me!

Dineen - I wish you could feel much better by tonight but it probably won't happen. It's really tough to sit out a race because of injury/illness.  But it the long-run (no pun intended ) it's probably for the best as you don't want to risk further sickness that will put an even worse damper on your upcoming training and future races.

Wow lots of bday options. I will let DW know.  And good guess Q...Elizabeth will be her middle name actually    There I told you something haha.

Okay, must share here because, well, because I must.

I fell off my bike.

Not particularly noteworthy since it's not the first time I've fallen off my bike.  It is, however, the first time I've fallen off my bike while on the trainer.  There just aren't any good excuses for that.  It was ridiculous and my only saving grace was the "soundproofing" I'd done in the sunroom.  I landed on a blanket that was spread out under the bike and instead of whacking my head on the wall I bashed a large pillow that was propped against it.  I did sustain one injury though.

I have a large bruise on my butt.

Please join me in laughing your butt off.  Except I won't be laughing mine off because it would probably hurt even worse.

I'd like a big bruise on my butt, but in a good way. Trainer mishaps don't count.

I'm too lazy to comb back through the pages to remember the shortlist of names you guys came up with ... but I do think Emma Elizabeth sounds lovely.

After I read the first sentence, I first thought "oh wow she is braving the cold for an outdoor ride because she could not have possibly fallen off her trainer."  Remember I am laughing with you and not at you   This is because of karma and I don't want to fall off of my trainer tonight since our trainers are bro and sis haha.

And Yanti - don't make me manatee flipper paddle you so hard you bruise...or wait uhh ...shoot where is my shovel?  I need to dig my hole deeper

So I didn't listen to any of you and ended up doing the race.  Here's my race report.  (C'mon, you know you would have done it in my position....).

I am currently in the hospital.  Our baby girl was born at 7:01am on March 2nd!  She was 21.25" and an unexpected and whopping 8lbs 14oz.  She is rolly like the Michelin Man
Her name is Paige Elizabeth Blackledge. And all three of us are doing well here and trying to cope/adjust to the new addition to our family. We should be leaving the hospital this afternoon. I'll try to post some pics shortly.

Awesome awesome awesome!!!!!  March 2nd was my grandfather's birthday which I believe is a sign that Paige Elizabeth (love it!) is a discerning young lady with a bright future ahead of her.

Tell Laura I said good job.
