IdealMuse - 2010-02-26 10:01 AM Hi Ladies/Scott - Useful tool: http://www.bx3.com/phil/tri/tritime.asp Estimate your Race times

I tried to estimate my race time but it said it didn't calculate days.

Wow, Kiri.  Those are some wonderful numbers.  You deserve that nice long soak.

Everyone get your last February numbers posted and I will get YTD totals posted Monday or Tuesday night.  I'm only counting the activities that have a "forward progress" component to them, s/b/r, hiking, etc.

24 hours in a day.  Simple math to convert.

Hello everyone.  I was disappointed in my weekend.  I didn't get the big numbers I had hoped for.  My big ride day got rained out.  I live in the DESERT for heavens sake.  How can I be getting so much rain?!  It rained all day today.  I did get a brick in so I guess that helps.

According to the plan I need big numbers this week.  I have to have a big bike and a decent run.  I am also doing an OWS Sprint Tri with Lisa this week.  SCARY!!  Here we go!  Crunch time.

Here are my February numbers and my 2010 numbers.

February's totals:
Bike:10h 47m 34s  - 169.55 Mi
Run:5h 28m 16s  - 33.43 Mi
Swim:3h 27m 31s  - 6837.23 Yd
Strength:2h 25m

2010 totals
Bike:23h 43m 50s  - 369.89 Mi
Run:13h 16m 11s  - 76.13 Mi
Swim:3h 27m 31s  - 6837.23 Yd
Strength:2h 55m

PS - Yes.  I see it.  I did notice and am embarrassed that Kiri's month of February is equal to my whole 2010!!  Great Job Kiri!

Crappy bike month for me but I'm happy with my run progress. Can't wait to ride outside.
I had a stomach bug for a few days and a little cold that kept me lying low a few days (but I stayed peachy)!

Bike is well on it's way to AZ. I've been pre packing, getting my warm weather gear out from hiding and organized. Looking forward to meeting Kate later this week!

Aqua Aerobics: 4h 40m
Crossfit: 7h 00m

Happy Monday All!  Hope you all have fun and productive weeks planned.  Mine all depends on whether I can get a trial scheduled for Thursday and Friday settled. I did bring my gym bag today in the hopes that I will have time to swim as opposed to trial prep.

Had a great run Saturday morning..still short run but a little bit of a faster pace. I'll start lengthening my runs now that my back and neck are better. Went to a swim clinic Saturday night and got some great feedback and pointers on my stroke, rotation, breathing, etc. I'll be able to get back in the pool later this week to apply what I've learned. Hopefully I'll be able to feel the difference!

First group ride scheduled for Sunday! I can't wait! Should be a hilly ride but it's a short ride just to get everyone together and outside then we'll break up into pace groups and start getting longer rides in.

I've also got my first sprint tri in April. "Rumpass in Bumpass"...I love the name! I'm doing that one in Virginia then 2 weeks later I'm doing Bassman in Jersey....hopefully this will help me master the art of wetsuit removal..I think I'm afraid I'm going to get stuck for 5 minutes trying to remove it!

How's everyone's Monday going?

I can't count snow shoveling because I don't have anything to convert it to.  Oh wait.  I know.  How about complaining because it isn't sunny out?  I did that for at least 5 hours.

Judi - I really wanted to try the Oly but didn't think I'd be up for it so I signed up for the Sprint. Going to try to get down there early enough to maybe catch some of the end of the Oly...and give myself plenty of time to get a layout of the land and relax!! As it gets closer I'll send you a message so maybe you can send me your number and I'll look out for you!! It would be great to meet someone from the group!

Leah - If you get to count complaining about the snow...I should get PLENTY of mileage that way!!! I'm finally starting to see part of my lawn! They're saying that tomorrow night's storm is now going to be rain...YIPPEE!! I've never been so happy to hear about a rainstorm instead of snow in years!!!

Hi All -

My Feb/2010 totals - slightly better then Jan but I still am lagging. Can only really do as told right now though.

February's totals:
Bike: 8h 00m - 117.32 Mi
Run: 30h 52m - 115.21 Mi
Swim: 10h 55m - 18300 Yd
Strength: 5h 55m

2010 totals
Bike: 15h 12m - 195.03 Mi
Run: 57h 38m - 200.73 Mi
Swim: 20h 50m - 34900 Yd
Strength: 5h 55m

Got my workout in today although I had to share a lane w/ a guy who I lapped every 1.5 laps... was kinda tedious. Then I forgot when I was on the Treadmill it was km/hr... oops. I had to guess at speeds and took the intervals pretty fast cause apparently 10.0 km/hr is like 6.2mph! Whoosh.

Think I'm putting on weight this week despite walking around so much! Gah!

Sorry you guys are running into weather issues for you last minute training!

Not sure how I'm spending tomorrow yet.

Let's see if this works.  I converted the swimming from meters to miles.  Scott, let me know what numbers you want for January.  If I got any other numbers wrong, please let me know and I will fix them.

Between us we have covered over three thousand miles in two months.  And we did more in February, a short month, than we did in January.  I think we have a lot to be proud of.  And Kiri, watch yourself.  Don't think I don't notice you sneaking up on me.

When I looked earlier today, BT showed you with the same swimming number for February and 2010 total.  From that I deduced that you had no swimming in January, although I didn't really believe that.  The log has been changed/updated now.  I have noticed other anomalies in that part of the logs before.  I will update my spreadsheet tomorrow at work.  Let me know of any other changes or corrections.

This doesn't show ALL the working out we all do, like shoveling snow or complaining, but since we are all training for triathlons, we do have to keep up the s/b/r numbers.  But, as we get closer to our HIMs and IMs, that issue will certainly take care of itself.

It's warming up here girls and the training plan has officially started..plus volleyball is ending and thus I will be able to walk without limping and stand up without groaning like an old man all 7 days out of the week instead of just 3 or 4..and what that means is a lot of miles of training. I just wish I could get this diet under control. My wife did not help things by bringing home doritos and ice cream (Girl Scout thin mint) . (but it was on clearance..so it will cost less to kill me)  Ok - I can't .. I am the one that determines what I eat and no one else.

I signed up for an olympic race on June 26, 2010.  I am looking at a spring or two in may and early June.  And I am trying to get a 24 hour mountain bike relay team together for the end of May.
