A pair of Asics with limited support and a pair of cool looking Brooks racing shoes. I am working on going no support and possibly attempt barefoot running next spring so I figure the more flats I incorporate into my winter training will help me for that. I wish I could run. Part of me just wants to run 1-2 because my leg never flares up until 2.5 miles or more but I know that would be dumb! that WOULD be dumb, mr w. graves. the running 1-2 because your leg never flares up until 2.5 part. THAT would be dumb. cool shoes! both pairs. PICTURES? and way cool on the running barefoot aspiration. the way we were made to run....al naturale. kinda like swimming. stacieb The Asics were ugly - black and silver but the price was right Here are the brooks if it works! I like those shoes!!! Alot |

Should be fun. Heh... I just watched the "leafers" episode of Family Guy the other night. Funny stuff. I do miss the fall colors up north though. No such luck down here. I visited Vermont last fall when a friend talked me into hiking up Mt Mansfield while we were in school in Rhode Island. That was a good time. Have fun up there, and good luck on your long run tomorrow! not sure I have seen that one...but I crack up at family guy....stewie is the best! Great show! I have a couple of friends that when we get together its hard to go more than a few minutes without quoting a family guy line. |

Actually started out great but the left knee started grumping at mile 5. What's with that????? It's the right knee that gives me grief. So I moved the pat strap over to mister grumpy and kept going. By mile 7 I was losing form and starting to worry it would blow up. So, I walked the last mile. What say you Ghoulies? Do I log this as 7 miles or 8??? Sorry about the less than stellar run. You went 8 miles, log it as 8. Hope this was just a one time nuisance and not anything serious! |

Although I won't win any aquajogging marathons I have not yet drowned which is a positive right? Just feel dorky running in water - just doesn't feel the same by any means but I am sure I will adapt to it. Yesterday was already better than Wednesday. well then, just think what tomorrow will bring! just looking for the positive! so do you touch the bottom of the pool or do you do this jogging in deeper water??? Nope no touchy - no impact at all (doc's orders!). Deep end that is why I am confused. High leg running is very easy - just awkward doing a regular running motion. Almost like dancing I just got an image of the Saturday night live synchronized swimming skit |

Im afraid to downgrade because when I used to wear new balance it was a daily thing! anyone???????? I usually don't get blisters unless I'm going really long, like 18miles+. Of course I lube up the feet pretty good before the long runs too. I only had one tiny little blister after the marathon. |

I have only a jacket that is not very breathable nor is it very water resistant. Neal seems to be happy with his rain gear. Will have to find out what he has. YEA NEIL.. you need to share some wisdom here.. Hmmm, can't remember if I posted this last night or not, but I used both a GoLite jacket and pants. Not sure if they are the best, but they kept me dry for a little over 3 miles. This is my first experience with rain gear so I have nothing to compare it to. |

I don't really blister but I develop some manly calices (sp?) on my 2nd inside toe from rubbing against my big toe. I also lost my toe nails during mary training but went 1/2 size bigger to alleviate that problem! Am I the only one that thinks losing toenails is cool? I'm still waiting for one to fall off that's been all black since the marathon. |
