They fit a lot better than the Classics, but they are much harder to get on.

Hi Team,
Wow, I leave for 11 days to coach and I come back to 73 pages of this forum! What did I miss??? Anyways, I'm happy to report I'm doing well on my goals. I got a 7.5 mile run in OUTSIDE today in Connecticut. It was so nice outside and it felt great to not be on a treadmill.  Hope everyone is having a good Sunday.

Had a hard time deciding whether to take the bike outside today for the first time. It was sunny but supposed to rain? I figured that if I took the bike out, it would rain on me. If I stayed inside on the drainer, the sun would stay out.

Utimately decided to suck it up and take the bike out and I'm so glad that I did!!! The sun did go away but it did not rain. It was actually a pretty good ride considering I haven't been able to ride outside since last fall. I acually felt pretty strong and I remembered how much my legs love a good downhill!

Although, I did forget that you actually have to balance when you are off the trainer... And my coordination was a little lacking. I had gotten about a mile from the house and just turned onto the busier road. I grabbed my water bottle, went over a little bump and the darn thing slipped right out of my hand. I actually RODE over it. But stayed on the bike and didn't crack my favorite water bottle! Have to really focus on the little things for a while, I guess.

I'm not a beer drinker. If you had fruity umbrella drinks though, I'd come visit you!
I like those too!!
Maybe I need to change my avatar back.... Hold on....

Ah, yes, I remember this avatar.
It comes with cabana boys in speedos.
I think my cabana boys in speedo sig line is gone now..... but the thought remains. Cabana boys in speedos serving us all fruity umbrella drinks, as we lounge by the pool.....

Ohhhh count me in on this one!

Today was an absolutely incredible day to be alive and own a bike.  72 and sunny--streams and lakes full from last week's storm--waterfalls gushing--slight breeze--first magnolia buds opening--riding down freshly paved blacktop in the countryside.  I'll take 364 more days just like it.

So jealous!

MDHillSlug - 2010-03-20 5:05 PM I went out for a solo ride around 9am. I am so NOT in race shape. Went 28 miles but needed a few stops, one to shed a few layers.

Way to still get out there! It will come back!

billsorg - 2010-03-21 12:00 PM Hi bEASTies...
Thanks for all the encouragement and inspires.  I'm very, very, very happy with how the half marathon went today.  I didn't hit my goal of 2 hours (partially because I had to stop to pee after the first mile) and also, according to my Garmin, the course was a bit longer than 13.1 miles... I talked to a few other people I saw that had Garmins and they all said the same thing. But I'm psyched about my lap data and left everything out on the course.  Aside from mile 1, mile 13 was my fastest... LOVE IT!
2h 06m 40s13.54 miles09m 21s/Mi

And the weather was freaking spectacular!  I'll write up the race report tonight or tomorrow, but wanted to check in.  Off to the shower and then it's time for softball practice...  But I see a couple martinis in my future tonight... purely for medicinal purposes... muscle relaxer, you know. Innocent

sooooo eeeeeaaaaawwwwwsome job Bill!
