That was odd - I was able to view through BT COJ and TAN but noticed there was no Reply button anywhere, and then noted that I got logged out, but still was able to see COJ and TAN.  WTF??

I mentioned to another trainer that I train at a HR at 158 (z2 running) and he went on and on that it was too high and that IF I was in shape, my LT should get lower and on and on...

I tried to say your LT is basically age related and training only lets you run FASTER and maybe longer at LT, but your LT doesn't really go down except when you get older.

I could always run at 180 bpm in a 10k.  But before, it took me an hour.  Now it's 45min..

But when he started to argue, I just smiled and said "ok" and walked away.

This....

Had a convo with a local IM'er and he was all "LT" and "HRT" and "I know I when I can bump it up to a 6:00/mile".

And I was all "I've got a run scheduled and if I'm running at a 6:00/mile pace, then y'all better keep up becuase there is either free beer or Zombies"

It is amazing how many people just accept certain things for fact - like that HR training is the best, or your HR should be a certain number, or there's a magic milage number for the marathon long run...

 

Conversely, lots of people don't know that there ISN'T a one-size-fits-all best answer, they don't know where to even begin, and often don't even know what they don't yet know.  Some people with some sort of athletic background will have some ideas on things, but folks that have never really been into sports are going to have quite the learning cliff.   Tri Talk gets repetitive on the subjects, but there's a constant stream of new people.... though, it'd be awesome if people use the search function.

That's why I think it needs to be right there on the page - like it is on ST.

I've never been on ST, so I don't know how they are laid out, but yes, having it more prominently visible would be a great change.
