You want to know what is really funny about the "guys" thing? I say y'all, and almost typed that, but decided to go with 'guys' because I thought that is what people up north say to a group, even if there are girls.
And yes Cheri, you just did I am Paul AKA Paul You Rang??? Morning Gorgeous!! Morning Beautiful!!!! So I hear there's been some good news on the job front!!! {{{Bouncy Melon Presses}}} for you!! Mmmm... melooonnnnsssssss I guess it's either feast or famine. I got one job offer that I actually accepted and the background check is currently going on, so I thought that was the end of it. Then I got another offer from a previous interview that I said thanks, but no thanks... and THEN I got a message Monday night from the managing partner of the intellectual property firm that I was trying to get a job at from the beginning saying that his firm has an opening as of that day and was I interested? Um.. HELLZ YES I'm interested! So, I've now done the 2 rounds of interviews for that job and just waiting to hear whether they are going to give me an offer or not. WHEW. Nice!!!! I will keep my fingers crossed for you! I hope you get the one you want most!!
Thanks Gorgeous!! If the one with the intellectual property firm comes through, I'm definitely taking that one! I'll feel like a huge schmuck telling the other people that I have to rescind my acceptance, but I'm pretty sure I'll get over that. Well a little wine at the "I got a job" celebrations will likely take care of any schmukiness you might be feeling.

If you were a guy, I'd suggest that you just go fart in their cubicle and walk away.... but, you're not, so instead I suggest randomly, loudly, belting out Christopher Cross lyrics. Or, perhaps hang out just outside her cube and randomly stop passerby coworkers and engage them in conversation loud enough to be picked up on speaker.

Wow, even Kate is beating me into TAN anymore. WORK (sucks) is killing me. I have a fundraiser Saturday that I am doing music and donating some art, then the next two weekends I was just accepted into a farmer's market to show some of my art stuff. I don't have enough art done, because I sold more than I though I would at a fund raiser the weekend before. And now I am doing long hours at work because people leave with ZERO notice. Not a week or two weeks, but on Friday they say bye. /rant

The water monsters find us quite uninteresting, particularly when we run in packs. If you've ever gone snorkelling, you know that it's hard to get close to any good monsters when you're by yourself, much less with 1,000 splashing maniacs surrounding you. |
