For the first time in a very long time I broke 10 min miles--this sarting off twisting my ankle within 100 yards of the front door on a rock I didn't see (getting dark out) and having an untied shoelace in the last half mile!! Is this all because of the hurricane? Not sure...lots of panic cause it's making huge impact long before the worst hits. 15 foot wall of surf hitting Galveston!! The off shore drilling is obviously suspended but the storage facilities can't get gas safely out either. I was talking to a lady calling in review for a person in Texas today and they were discharging anyone they could cause 1000's of refugees were in the cauliseum (sp?) and pts were being evacuated out of other hosiptals as well....SCARY STUFF! |

Veteran 250 Cape Coral, FL , Florida | Subject: RE: Black Flies Team thread had to go shopping today picked up a new pair of shoes and a HRM gonna give this one a shot again. i used one for a while but never stuck with it . it was a Nike and didnt do all to much so i went and got a Polar f6 does quit a bit more. i know its a bit late to start training with it but i should be able to get a good idea at where im sitting in the zones once i take it out for a run and a few rides just want to see how much effort im really putting out . i know pretty close on the run but the bike sometimes i feel like my heart is jumping out , not that i pay much attention to it but for the IM i feel like keeping an eye on things |
