Expert 767 Littleton, Colorado | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL My training plan lists specific times as opposed to distances. This week, I have a total of 3:05 of running on the calendar, but I actually need to do 3:55, as I didn't end up doing the race I was going to yesterday. Something about running on 4" of new snow, on top of the existing base of packed snow & ice, with it still snowing, while my legs still have a few aches left over from the marathon really made me second guess this one. Don't know why. |

Veteran 169 | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL 3 miles down & 22 more for this weeks running challenge. I am running a 15K local race this sunday so that will be 9 more. I posted a few pics from Disney in my albums if anyone is interested. I am thinking of joining this site as a paying member. Are any of you Gold members? If so, do you feel the upgrade from Bronze is warranted. Thanks! TC |

Master 1573 Red Sox Nation | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL Heh, I can wrap my head around this week. (invoking thanks to unknown spirits it ain't a bike challenge). 1.5 hours of running. 38 min done. TC - only if you think you're going to use the Coaching. I think G/S/B get access to all the pre-determined plans, but Gold (and silver?) mean you can go into support forums and solicit comments directly from Mike Ricci. I don't use the Coaching, so maybe I overpay, but I guess since I joined over a year ago and the ratio of pay/free was skewed, and I want the site to succeed I 'overbought' my membership ... to my mind it's short money. |

Elite 3235 San Diego | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL I was supposed to run 3 miles today (i'm not sure if it is a brick or straight run. I was going to do the 3 miles at lunch then a 1 mile run after the ride tonight. I have a sore throat and cough, so I might just try and see how I feel after I ride. I will run tomorrow if I can't get it in tonight |

Veteran 190 Visalia, CA | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL 3.4 down today. just over 8 min/mile. felt good though, it was nice and cool and felt good to get out in shorts tonight. i hate the way pants sound when i run. drives me nuts. i was starting to slow quite a bit around mile 2.5 then my mp3 turned on to some good old punkrock (mix of the clash and sexpistols) and gave me the added mental distraction to maintain my pace. |

Champion 10471 Dallas, TX | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL If you have a training plan, post what you have scheduled and we will hold you to it. I totally failed. I said I would run on Orlando. Took my shoes, gear, etc. Didn't run at all. If you don't have a plan, post what you think you can do, again, we will hold you to it. Well, if we do this again next week... then I can post what my coach schedules for me, and I can get "held" to that? |

Veteran 169 | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL tomorrow sounds like a great workout. enjoy the strength training. I am switching memberships today. Cancelling the YMCA and joining the Colonie Center (same design as the YMCA basically with indoor track, weights 2 pools one for laps and a seperate one for Kids play. the best part its only 3 buildings down and can now work out there (and shower) before, during or after work. the YMCA is either 20 minutes from work or 20 minutes from the house, kinda like a big triangle. Should save me a bunch of commute time and give me more time for workouts! |

Veteran 190 Visalia, CA | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL nice, i wish there was a ymca here. the only gyms are 54/month. to much in my opinion to pretty much just use the pool and locker rooms. that's why im so excited to find out the college opens their pool up to lap swimming during spring, summer, and fall. apparently i can use the gym for free as well. there is a kineseology (sp?) program there as well, so all of their equipment is really nice. stopped by the college. you have to be enrolled in a class, but have unlimited access to the facilities. one unit class is 20 bucks. 15 enrollment fee. 5 parking fee. 40 total per semester. = 6.66/month for an awsome facility. pool opens on march 6. Champion 10471 Dallas, TX | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL Another run challenge sounds good. Well, I start with my tri coach's (www.tripower.org) workout plans on Monday (1-29-07). Uuuummmm... it's going to be a HUGE challenge for me. I'm so use to just doing what I want... when. I'm also use to not working out on Thursday or Friday nights. If you review my log, you will see what days will be a challenge for me. It's going to be a REAL ACCOMPLISHMENT if I make all the workouts. I know I must do it... shoot, I paid for it. But dang, I like REST DAYS. Even if my body doesn't need it, my brain certainly does. Yep, this is going to be a hard week. I hope it gets easier... but this is only week 1. I'm sure it's not going to get eaiser. |

Work has been a little crazy and I haven't had time to play on BT like I normally do. Hopefully things will settle down on Wednesday and I can go back to goofing off at work. In the meantime, I hope you all will continue to inspire each other while I am gone Thanks Tom |

Veteran 190 Visalia, CA | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL i missed on this last week. was supposed to do 9.6 ended up with 6.8 miles. oh well. my sister-in-law pretty much is forced to move out this thur. both her roommates took off and left her with rent on her own, which she cant afford, so shes moving into our den. i spent most of sat moving furniture. i now need to find a new spot for my treadmill, exercise ball, 3 medicine balls, half a rack of dumbells, etc. i have no clue where im going to put them. im thinking of enclosing our back porch. kinda make a sunroom (although no sun hits our backyard) we can workout and hang out back there. |

Expert 767 Littleton, Colorado | Subject: RE: Madcow's group - FULL Last week was not a good week for me and running. I was supposed to do 3:05, but thanks to an unhappy Achilles, I got in about 20 minutes on the treadmill and 1:00 of aquajogging, for a grand total of 1:20. This week, I'm definitely aquajogging at least my Tuesday "run," and we'll have to see about Sunday. So, let's say 3:30 of total run-like activity! And seriously guys, bust my chops if I don't do it! I'm afraid I have embraced the idea of recovering from my marathon a little too enthusiastically. I have less than 5 months to be in IM shape! |
