I swam 2600y today. I'm moving right along! My coach told me not to lift today so I didn't get my strength training in, but I think I'm ahead on that goal anyway.

Nice work! I have to do 1:45 this weekend and I'm not looking forward to it.

I hope you can do that outside!

No, it's going to be too cold If I ride outside I have to do 25 miles, inside is 1:45 on the drainer. And it's a brick. God help me.

I took it pretty easy today: extra hour of sleep this morning with no morning workout and then Pilates after work. Tomorrow morning it's back to the pool.

Hi Kristen.  How is your evening???

Meh, just so so. I'm still not feeling great after my atrocious long run yesterday so my coach pulled my strength training today. I'm just wiped. You?

Same old, same old....  Working on homework and still fighting this damn cold.... Figured Bailey's can burn out whatever is left of the cold.

I didn't go.  I went to a hospital to visit a Marine that was injured in Iraq.  He is kind of impressive how he kept pushing through the pain to try and recover.  He instantly moved to the top of me list of heroes.

That was more important than skiing, you all are heroes in my eyes!

Off to work...

I did 2100m swimming this morning, definitely better than my swim at the beginning of the week, but still not quite where it should be.

I'm not sure yet how my weekend will shake out but I'm supposed to do a run and a bike.

My week hasn't gone so well. I have missed two runs, a bike and a swim this week. But the good news is I am now on antibiotics and I haven't had very many asthma attacks today. That means I can attempt my run tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Hey guys. I got my long workout in, my first brick of the season. Unfortunately it was too cold to ride outside so I did 1:45:00 on the trainer and did the 3 mile run outside. It wasn't so bad, but I did to a little crazy after about 1:15:00 on the trainer. Hope everyone's having a good Saturday!

I did my morning run but I'm putting off the ride until Monday. With the day off I should be able to get in a nice ride.

Not me. We're saving it up for our anniversary next weekend.

My wife and I will be married 16 years in June, and we are militant about completely ignoring Valentine's day altogether.  When we first started dating, we would always have fights on V-day, so now it's kind of a running gag that we ignore it.

I swam twice today.  Once by myself and once with my son (which means endless breaststroke laps with a 45-lb kid on my back.  Beats the hell out of wearing paddles.) AND got in a trainer ride. I do believe I'll treat myself to a cocktail...

*drive-by inquisitiveness*  We have a couple of sets - I have 3 sons.  They very rarely get used.  I don't see what all the hype is about them.  Maybe kids that have more creative skills make the most of them and enjoy them more.

Though it was short I finally got a few miles on the bike done.  I am feeling better, though still a little congested.  I am hoping to make great progress over the next two weeks, though I am taking a mini vacation next fri, sat, and sun and going to Winter Park for three days of snowboarding.

I think the world has change a lot in the last 40 or so years and not necessarily for the better. What do your kids like?

Each have their likes.  #1, who's 12, likes Bionicals sometimes and sports -
http://bionicle.lego.com/en-US/default.aspx
#2, who's 9, is into video game stuff, like Nintendo DS, Wii, etc. (he's a videot, and if we didn't steer him to doing other things, he'd be on those 24/7), and #3, who's not 4 yet, likes just about anything right now, but seems drawn towards video games at times.

My son is now 17 and went through a Bionicals phase when he was around 12. He's now into video games. He's a straight A student so we don't really have to do any steering.

I played with them when I was a kid, my younger sister got them for a christmas one year I think. Thought about getting my boys them but they have so much... My brother got them the tinker toys, probably would have liked the lincoln logs better.  They love their legos.
