I went up a rock wall with my 64 year old mom. Oh yea, she has stage 4 lung cancer and is in the middle of chemotherapy. I could not get the smile off my face.

I work in prison, and we had GED graduation for about 30 inmates, and vocational school graduation for about 30 more.

That is awesome. (the climb of course, not the cancer). You and your mom just made me happy.

EDIT: (chemo -- i've been there. NOT fun. Your mom rocks!)

33 miles into my first half-century I came across a port-a-potty in the middle of nowhere, right when I needed one.

Tummy-time with my 3-week old son

Oh, and the fact that I can feed him from a bottle now that mommy is pumping, so she can actually get more than 1.5 hours of sleep at a time. If she's not happy, I'm not happy.

a man I didn't know stopped by to donate $250 dollars to a fundraiser today because he saw an article in the paper about it. People do have big hearts, you just have to find them.

My two youngest girls - 8 and 10 - dressing up as scientists and making all sorts of concoctions with water, milk and food coloring.  Bathrobes for lab coats, swim masks for goggles.  Then the littlest one turns toward me and through her swim mask says, "Science can be dangerous."  Laughing

I'm happy because my Finace who lives 230 miles away has been able to spend the past few days at my house. Nothing like waking up next to your best friend and a yowling deaf white cat with no sense of volume.

Completed my first century ride on Saturday. And had my three baby girls waiting at home to comfort daddy when he could hardly walk. Then they tucked me into bed and kissed me goodnight.

I love this thread.

1) My son learned to ride his bike without training wheels this weekend.

2) I didn't have to wake up to an alarm clock this morning.

I just ate a huge plate of my homemade macaroni and cheese from dinner last night...and don't feel guilty about it.
