So um... what day do we weigh in on?

I'm nervous about this... I've watched Triathlete friends for over a decade, not believing I could do it too. In the mean time I've gained a lot of weight and am a proud new mamma. But I can't blame the weight on my babes, it was there before they came. But enough is enough. It's time. I feel like I'm about to fight an uphill battle that I might give up. Read, I fear failure, so sometimes I don't try. SOOOOO.... I need some major accountability. Please ask me how I'm doing!

Goals: complete Try-a-tri, or mini-tri Summer 2009

Current Weight: 210

Down to 124.6 from 126.
Started new weight training program - "Strength For Life".
I've never lifted weights before, so it's a steep learning
curve for me. It was hard, but fun.

Keep up the good work everybody...even if the scale didn't
go in the "right" direction, it will if you just stick with it.
Congratulations to all the losers; and a big welcome to
everybody who's just joining us!

Down to 202.5 this week from 205 two weeks ago. I'm anxious to get under 200 lbs.

(goal by 1/1/09 is 189, which is a weight I've never been able to hit.)

We usually weigh in on Monday, but if there's a problem and you need to weigh in on Tuesday instead, I don't think anyone will mind.  It happens.

Welcome to the group and good luck!

Whoops - I missed weigh in day.  Lots of action around here (kid's birthday this week).  I'm down 1.5 to 167.5.  I'll take it for sure.

OK, thanks for leting me in on this. My story is this: Started this year at about 190. Joined a 25 pounds in 25 weeks challenge and then another after that ended and am now at 162. I have been hovering between 161 and 164 for several months now. I'd really like to drop another maybe 7 to 10 pounds, so that will be my goal for this challenge....to get down to about 150-155.

I did an olympic tri back in October and am signed up for a number of 5ks, etc thru the rest of this year, but have no real "plan" as it were. Just want to maintain swim, bike and run fitness.

I will be starting a new job in a few weeks, which will limit my time online and my time to workout, at least initially. We do not have a scale at home, so my weigh-in is at the health club, which I will have to resign from when I take this job because of location. I intend to find a new club by the new job, so I can do lunchtime workouts a couple times a week.

My biggest issue is foods. I need to really cut out the last of the crap foods I still enjoy all too regularly. If I do that, I think I can lose this 10 pounds pretty easily. Its just hard, real hard, to go the last few miles here....

Thanks

I WILL get this forum thing if it kills me!  Third times a charm, right?!

(2nd Original Message)  Since I had a blonde moment earlier (I posted the following under the main weightloss thread instead of in here) I decided to put it in here where it belongs!  Sorry for those of you that have already read this....

(Original Message) Alrighty...As long as ya'll don't mind, I'm jumping in here.  I know weigh in is on Monday but I figured I'd start now by giving my starting info and just maybe I won't indulge in every whim over the weekend!

WEIGHT:  165  Ultimate goal is 135.

BF:  34%  Ultimate goal is 25%.

While I've listed my ultimate goals here, as long as I keep loosing (I started at 198 after I had my baby in January!) I will be happy.  I just want to get in shape, feel better about myself, and make it thru (my first) Honolulu Sprint Tri in May!

K...if I had a brain, I'd be dangerous!   This was supposed to be under the Christmas to yourself thread!
