Yes... but it in energy.. that way you can literally level up with each energy pack.... This worked for me for quite a while..
i hardly ever got attacked, since I rarely, even now, fight anyone.. I'll do the hitlist some now.. but I'm pretty high up level wise

They also changed the fight screen - way too many pictures makes it hard to see everything quickly.

Did they just do this?  Haven't seen it yet...but can't wait...boy what a PITA it is to go to each person's page individually.  I would LOVE if they were all in one place!  I could gift more!  And it would be easier to gift stuff to myself from Lara's account!   Right now in order to do it easily I have to login as ME, publish my wish list so it's recent on her home page and then logout as me, login as HER, find my post, and gift.  Whew.

That's one achievement I don't have yet--the 500 gifts.  I don't want to give people useless stuff just to get the achievement...I want to give people things they NEED!  Though, some of you may have noticed me gifting some Politico Corrupto trying to up my number of gifts given...I'm only at like 260!  And I have a bajillion politico corrupto.

I'm not looting as many Blackmail photos as I thought I would being Lara.  The problem is that you need the concealable camera's first...and that's like a 1 out of 4-6ish chance...since you don't loot every time you do the job and you can loot one of three things.  Then once you have the camera's, you don't loot a photo every time either.  So I think you need to do about 6-8 jobs to get ONE photo!  Crazy!  That's why whenever I do get the "free gift" screen I try to give Blackmail Photos...they are the most useful thing on there (I think).  Does anyone think something else is more useful????

I haven't gotten the "free gift" screen in over a week.  Am I doing something wrong????

Thanks BT'ers for joining my Mafia.  

I am using the groups to add people fast.  In case you are worried about having random people able to look at your profile and post things to your wall there is a way to limit them.  What I have done is created a friend group for all of the mafia wars members and then limit what that group can view and update.  It is easier than updating each individual person you friend.

ckbusybee - 2009-08-21 11:37 AM I would also like to thank those that have joined my Mafia. I have also added from the add groups, and have made a Mafia Wars Facebook List. Is there any way to limit which status updates the MW list sees? I would like to be able to post a status update for my Friends & Family that isn't seen by all those people I don't know. I am sure those strangers don't care if I went blackberry picking or that my husband shot an antelope (I am pretty sure my F&F do care. I think. ) I have limited my MW updates to my MW list people, but can't see a way to limit status updates without blocking ALL of them from my MW list. Then I can't post a help me out request or a wish list, etc. I hope that all makes sense. The only way I have seen around this so far is to friend then defriend any mafia members. But then I can't see their help requests, etc., and again, they can't see mine. Cristy

Yeah, I temporarily skipped underboss and decided to do the boss tier first...at the end of the boss tier you get the golden throne which gives you double energy every time period.  I figured that would make doing underboss faster.  Still wish I could go back to the beginning and be a maniac not a mogul, but oh well.  Can't change that now.

I won't be able to have the Boss TITLE until I do underboss, but from what I read I DO get the throne if I complete the tier.

It is still going to take me forever though.  At 350 energy/day, let's say I get all 350, level up once for a refill, and get one energy pack.  That's....about 1100 energy points.  Under estimate a smidge because I have found it is virtually impossible to totally run out of energy exactly before you level up, etc....so let's figure I get 1000 energy points per day to use.  The Shake Down a City Council member job takes 78 energy.  So I can do it 12-13 times a day.  You have to do it 100 times.  That job alone will take me 8 days.  I haven't messed around too much to see if EVERY job is only 1% every time you do it...I noticed in the last tier that several were 2% and some were 3%.  So I am hoping that the same applies here and that some of them won't be 1%.  Because if each job takes me a week (average), it'll be months before I'm done!

Definitely going to lean towards energy until I'm done with the Boss tier then I will probably put some into attack/defense again.  I do wish I had not put as much to health.  It took me awhile to realize that money was easy.  When I first started playing I actually thought a million dollars was a lot of $$$ and didn't want to pay anything  to up my health.  And fairly early on a million IS a lot...but it isn't long before a million seems like pocket change.  Once you get a few big properties and the money flows in...

What does everyone think of the new "boost" items?  I personally don't think they are very useful.  I would rather have seen them offer a lesser points rewards for multiple vaulting of items.  As in, if you got 7 stamina the first time you vaulted it, the next time you would get 5 and so on and so forth until vaulting it didn't do anything for you anymore.  All this boost thing is going to do is always offer people something (something small but something) for their items and I think it will cut down on gifting.  Epic FAIL if you ask me....

I do keep going for the sniper rifle in cuba though..  it's 40+ attack/36 defense  one of the best weapons

in NY it's the M16A1 that is the better weapon

ITR's are very useful, as well.  You need a ton of them for underboss/boss completion.
