Hey Kisses

Got my drainer ride and strength in. Looks like the run will have to wait since I have no treadmill and the ice is building up. Yuck.

Plenty of mojo here at the moment to spread around.

Day 6 here is done, got in a very nice long run first thing this morning - 15kms of al hills.  Did an old route I used to do as prep for HIM previously and despite a year off, the last 10 weeks of solid training saw me PB - not sure my beagle who is my running buddy was happy about that though.

Coming into a big bike week with not much running on the program, but might try to sneak the bike sessions into brick sessions to keep the total rolling over

I'll be getting in my long run today and another bike and strength tomorrow, so I'll get out of the cellar on the spreadsheet!

Cold and windy again though.  If it doesn't kill us...

Hey Kisses. Got my run in today. It stopped all the silly weather so I thought I'd get out while I could. The clouds went away and the sun came out and I was WAY overdressed! It is amazing how much difference it makes when the sun comes out.

Have great days all.

...one of the members started calling me dorkface for some unknown reason.  So I received an e-mail from Marma that I was qualified?? for a custom status and I went with dorkface in honor of Stacie.  By the end of the month you might just agree with her

hah!  That is awesome, Dorkface!

First anatomy dissection today...We met our bodies last week, this week we start on the thorax...:S I guess I will find out how this is going to go over in 30min...need to go find myself some scrubs from the hospital...

See you all later...Good luck with your afternoon workouts...wish me luck with mine..haha

My girlfriend at the time of med school read this great book you might be interested in (like you have time, but anyway...):  Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers by Mary RoachThe book's cover is ingenious!

Did you name your cadaver yet?  How did it go?  Male/Female/over weight/ young or old?  Did they tell you any history for each cadaver?

Oh yea, Triathlon talk...um, your 9K you ran sounded pretty tough!  I could not do you swim workout, that's for sure.

kcarroll - 2010-02-03 1:31 AM Ok, Kisses.  Just to warm us up for Valentine's Day.

First *real* kiss you can remember (you define):  Name (theirs), age (yours), location (geography not anatomy, or *someone* is bound to get us in trouble)

my wife still can't believe her weather wimpy husband is bundling up and heading out for 10 mile runs on the weekend regardless of the wind chill!  The neighbors are getting a kick out of me strolling by as they fire up their snow blowers.

Signing up for a 70.3 will do that to you!

That pumps me up!  I love seeing people who add hardcore with a little determination and stir vigorously.  Good character there, buddy.

So, I just found the Official Winning Team's Thread (KISSES) and I had to catch up with the posts.  So here is my last spam post of the night--the intro--because I forgot between page 1 and 7.

I am a 2007 Clemson University Alumni (GO TIGERS!!~), who was a semester into his masters in Neuroscience at Med. Univ. of South Carolina before he shocked and awed his family and friends by following his heart and put grad school on hold for the Army.  I am currently a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army stationed at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.  We run 24x7 battle rhythm, which means I work 6.5 days a week for ~10.5 hours a day.  That means I go do my weight lifting in the morning and my multisport in the evenings.  So when you're tired, sore, or your boss called you a dorkface (no offense, Bill), get outside and get your workout on--THEN brag about it on the Winner's Board (right here) about how much of a trooper you were.  Because Team KISSES isn't your typical grandma's kisses, or Eskimo kisses, or Fatty McGoo's Hersey Kisses; it's BEAST Kisses...sweaty, grueling, and "never would have done it, if you knew what you were getting into" kisses!  I really like this team from reading the posts so far, and I want to just help encourage everyone to reach their goals!

I'd also like to say to hi to all my fellow Canucks; I'm half Canadian (mom is from N.B.), and my aunt just moved out to Victoria (from Calgary).

My specialty is weight lifting.  I've been in the gym scene for 5 years now, and I'm working on my National Federal of Personal Trainers (NFPT) cert., with my "left over time." (ha ha, right--).  Use me, please, as a reference for any questions you might have.  I do not promise to know all the answers, but I will set you up for success.

Beastly Kisses,
~Ryan

Greetings Kisses.  Had an ok, but not great weekend of training. At least I didn't pig out on junk at the SB party.  I'm going to have to catch up on my pool time.  They Y was closed this weekend for a state swim meet, so that threw me off.  I did get a trainer ride in on Saturday - intervals.  Sunday was a bitter run.  17* and uber nasty wind.  This week it is time to feel the love in the pool again.

Hey, Kisses!  Sounds like everyone's doing great!

Sorry, I've been lame in the last few days.  A little under the weather this weekend followed by a brutal week at work... I'll make up for it later this week as long as I don't have to *ugh* fly to Philly on Weds for work.  If I do, it sounds like I'll get stuck there for longer than I want to be.  Flying makes it so much more difficult to take back-up workout gear in addition to work stuff.
