I was one of those people who was intrigued by the show, but don't get HBO.  I started reading the books in December, and am now about a quarter of the way through ADWD.  I bought the show the day it came out and am about halfway through the season.  HBO has done an amazing job with it, and I'm very seriously considering getting HBO for season 2.

15 hour GOFT marathon on HBOZ yesterday, between that and HBO on demand i got through 8 episodes, i have wanted to watch it forever, will finish season one up tonight
