Sorry I've been a little quiet on the thread this month... just really busy trying to get a promotion at work and getting the kid back to school, soccer, girl scouts, etc. I did get my half century in yesterday and it felt pretty good! Or would have felt good if I wasn't hanging back with my friends for part of it. They were totally shot about half way through and I couldn't get any momentum on the downhills to get up the uphills and then had to crawl up the uphills... but I love 'em and hung with them for a while! After all we were doing it as an opportunity to get together. But when they started walking their bike up hills with 8 to go, they took pity and told me to meet them at the end. Now I just need to get my butt to the pool... Half century, killing your friends, no sweat Good luck on getting the promotion, you deserve it! |

I am going to have to stop challenges for now because I am overloaded with some stuff and won't be able to regularly train. I can either remove myself from the list or we could count my progress to date and calculate it based on the 13 elapsed days.
I have two beautiful foster kittens with upper respiratory viruses that need their meds now so I will check on everyone's decision tomorrow. |

Personally if I had to do all the calculations to only count you for the first 13 days I would just have you pull out altogether but lucky for all of us I don't have to do that part ;-) I hope the kitties are okay and I hope you find some time to take care of YOU and get out there to swim and bike!! |

The afternoon was crazy busy and I ended up getting off work 30 minutes late and was extremely tempted to skip my ride but made myself hop on the bike and get my 10 miles in. Glad I did because I know I'd be regretting it now had I skipped. James and I made steak and baked potatoes for dinner. It was really good! Tomorrow's my day off so I should be going to the gym with James at some point for some strength training and a run. Hope everyone's week is going well! |

It's of course on the same leg as my bruised heel and right next to the 3in long scar that I got a couple months ago. At least they've all been minor scrapes and bruises but I would like to be able to go more than a week without injuring myself in some way! |
