So in order to get any points right now I am gonna have to get up at 5AM just to get out there  in the 30's.   So that won't be happening any time soon.  SO I will have to wait til it turns colder

I ran at lunch today, but it was too warm to earn points.

It's cold enough tonight, but my knee is swollen and bruised, so I'm icing it and staying in tonight.

Starting to get into some points, nice cold clear mornings with heavy fog/drizzle make for good running and easy points.

We are looking at some great, not crappy, weather for the next couple days. I was running in shorts and a t-shirt this morning but snow is on its way later this week.

we are well in it this year already. Thursday I rode my bike to work 2C or so. Friday, -12C, snow, wind in the morning. I went from running in no shirt last monday to tights and a running jacket on Friday. Usually the tights don't come out for a bit. I don't know, I think I may be becoming more effected by the cold than I used to. Or it could be the drastic drop in temperature.

Anyways. Good week for points.

Wow. -12c is seriously cold.

Our weather still can't make up its mind. It was almost 70 today. Very nice. I went out for a bike ride for 80 minutes before the sun went down. I felt cold only right at the very last 15 minutes or so. For my hour run this morning, the temperature was about 45, sunny and wonderful. Well, except that I'm having a hard time earning points yet in this challenge. :-)

These 65 degree days in November make it a bit tough to get some points, but I will not complain

Late to the party, but I'm in.  Plenty of crappy weather on the way out here in central Mass., don't have a trainer, looking to toughen up this year.

Cheers,

Erin

Hopefully today is the last of the good weather, I was running in shorts and a t-shirt yeaterday and was out on the bike in tights and a light windbreaker this morning.

WHERE'S THE CRAPPY WEATHER?

Suppose to be in the 50's again today with low 40's and rain for Tuesday, so I will be pointing in the morning.

Finally am on the score board. Nice brisk ride this morning at 35.  Might even get some double scores with my commute home this week also

I missed some awesome points on Thursday because I was just too tired to get dressed for a frigid bike ride and this weekend we were blessed cursed with 50+ temps, which made my longish ride points-less. Bummer! But it sure was beautiful and I can't complain about being able to ride in shorts in November with snow on the ground.

Oh, and to add to the previous water-drinking debate...2+ hours on the bike and I didn't even drink a whole water bottle yesterday. Usually I go through more than two. So it sounds pretty normal to not drink as much.

I got back on the bike this morning to work to get a few points, and hopefully more tomorrow when it starts snowing again.

Wow, Darren, -12C is impressive! Competing in this challenge is becoming somewhat hopeless. Haha! I need to start snowboarding rather seriously to be anywhere close to you guys.

Hey you do what you can do. Currently I am using this challenge as motivation for me to get up and get my early workouts in, otherwise I risk no points because it can be -10 in the morning here and 5C by lunch. I slept in on Sunday and the temp dropped from -12 to -6 by 10:00 so that cost me like 120 points. I know that Bill is going to be bringing in some big points once the temperature is consistently down so I am trying to get a bit of a head start.

Ditto, really about the motivation factor. There's no way I can compete with your winter (not that I really want to), so this is just motivation to get outside and bike to work and not stop running. I mean, not losing any more points to laziness was a huge factor in my biking this morning instead of driving in. It's just amazing how quickly you manage to rack up those points.

And had I left an hour or so earlier for the ride on Sunday, I would've had plenty of points. It was a pretty windy day all day (my first experience biking in some significant cross-winds...what an experience!) so all I needed was the temperature to stay below 40F, which it didn't by the time I made it out of the house. Oh well. Beautiful ride nonetheless.

Some pure misery heading our way. Snow, sleet and some lower temps. Gonna do some runs 3 times mid week I hope the weather is at rock bottom. Perfect environment to test my new Salomon Speedcross 2s. Shooting for a 20 and 10 milers this weekend. Gonna rack up some points if the temp stays down.  "Cry havoc and let loose the dogs of war!!"

Last winter I won a pair of Salomon Crossmax, nice shoes. They have over 600 miles on them, looks like it is time to save them for running in snow.
