Daremo - 2006-01-27 8:09 AM Well, I only had 500 yards to go today. So in celebration of that (and the fact it is the last swim in one of my 4-week training cycles) I went out and continuously swam my race distance ....... 2,200 yards!! I'd say I'm just a little over my goal now. Tri-stars own baby!!!

Way to go Daremo!!!  Awesome way to wrap up the month!  You have to feel terrific about that swim!

 GO TRI-STARS!!!

I know I'm getting in the pool twice this weekend, starting tonight.

I'm really looking forward to seeing this whole thing wrapped up by the end of the weekend.  I know we can do it.

I'M DONE!!!  I know I didn't swim as far as a lot of people, but this was a lot for me.  I finished this morning, Saturday.  Maybe I'll even get one more in before the month is over but it feels great to be finished.  Even though it was a short swim to finish, it really felt good toward the end.  I really felt the groove and didn't feel like I was actually working.  Just kind of moving my body side to side, rolling my arms and actually being buoyed by the water.  I can't describe it well, but it felt great.  Thank you January Swim Challenge.

Now let's clean this thing up and collect our trophy!

Great job hitting your swim goal!  It's nice when swimming feels less like an effort and more enjoyable.  Makes the run and bike much easier during a race when you don't have to struggle to get through the swim.

And great job overall with your training in January!

WOW!  You blew your goal outta the water with that last swim!  Almost 3500 yards?  Very impressive!

Congrats on hitting your PR for running too!  I'm still struggling to break 30 minutes for my 5k so I am very jealous of your 23:08!
