Tough TrainerRoad workout last night, thanks to Murphy's Law.  Wed. the weather was perfect for biking outside but I got home to late.  Thur. I get home in plenty of time to ride outside but it is pouring, so to the basement I went.  My quads are NOT happy with me today, but in hindsight it really was a good interval workout.

Hoping to get a short run in this evening on the way to the pool.  Bike Sat (I hope) and Sun may hold a day of many activities!  My friends and I try to do a 'quinto' every year: kayaking, biking, golfing, geocaching, and finish with a cold brew, and Sunday may be the day. Still need confirmation from one friend.  Depending on when we start, I may try to squeeze a swim in beforehand.

Yeah! Congrats!!!

I am not racing, 2 weeks till my next tri, so a little time.  We have lots of kids birthday parties and BBQ's planned, so watching my eating is going to be key!

Going for an OWS tomorrow morning at 6:30 am. Hoping that the water in Long Island Sound is warm. Hate hate swimming in cold water. The lakes are nice but the ocean might be another story. But guess I have to see what it is like since I will be racing in the same water on the 17th.

My inkling of a sore throat I had earlier today of def taking form of full on sore throat kids have already made me sick. I'll try to get a workout in in the am. Going to bed soon to get a jump on my immune system!

I hope you feel better soon and the rest is refreshing.

I have made good progress on my swim session goal. I'm hoping for a bike/run brick tomorrow morning.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.

wgraves7582 - 2012-06-09 8:38 AM Just got back from a 2nd trail run in as many days - I love the dirt - why did I stay away so long - oh yeah MUD

I run on dirt/sand for most of my daylight runs. I love it. I am a little slower (because I get more of an agility work out), but my legs always thank me for it after and complain a little when I run on the road.

mndymond - 2012-06-08 9:36 AM Just did outdoor pool swim! Woooooo!

I love swimming outside. Our city pool is near a lake (50 yards or so), so when the wind comes up out of the south, we get chop on the pool and it smells fishy and gross (too many geese and petrochemicals), and it feels like great open water practice. Wink

Did a nice OWS this morning in long Island Sound. The water felt great. Should be fine for the race next weekend. Whent shopping after the swim. Then want out for a brick. Biked 22 miles then ran 2. Still feeling good. Right on track for meeting my goals for the month.

Lol. I drew on Andy last year! Still sicky. Did a 7.5km walk instead of running and felt okay during but wasn't feeling too hot after. I'm counting it as a run though. Now I'm just resting on the couch watching a movie.
