Sorry! ponderingfox - 2012-12-24 11:26 AM Asalzwed - 2012-12-24 11:58 AM I just wanted to pop in and say welcome to all the new Manatees (you know, before we get to page 20 in this thread.) I ran the most miles in a week ...ever last week, so between that, family stuff and the holidays I've been a little swamped. So... how many miles did you run? Are you really going to say that without sharing the details? Well, that's what we have training logs for. I keep you on your toes by making you count on your own. Nah ... since your new I'll do it for you this time. 84 miles. |

Thanks, but I do enjoy cooking, getting tired of cooking for myself. Here are some pictures of my recent meals i made. The really sad thing is I have not been on a date in so long I think I have forgotten how. Top is 2 turkey patties with durkee fried onions, carrots and green beans. Then couscous with brussel sprouts and grilled chicken breast. Next, grilled turkey patties, lima beans and minestrone soup. Then, sauteed scallops in white wine sauce with green beans. Then, kale salad with steak pieces, tomatoes and lima beans. Finally a grilled chicken salad. Great pics...but you lost me at lima beans. |

On the computer you can select the radio button to add pix after saving your post, then it gives you the option to browse for them and upload, under 50 megs. On the phone it's easier if you use full site and follow as explained above. |

Melon Presser 52116 | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees Mentor Group - VERY CLOSED!!! Sorry! Whew, so I survived Christmas with my nuclear family (we celebrate on Christmas Eve evening) and they survived me. The food was spectacular, if I do say so myself. I was mildly surprised. You just never know how stuff is going to turn out. Me, Mutti, and the menu: TURRRRRKEY, giblet gravy, mashed taters, candied yams (plain roasted for my dad), apple-and-bacon stuffing (bread from scratch. Bacon cut by hand from whole pork belly. Etc.), caramelized French red pearl onions, peas, no cranberries = fresh whole dark-cherry gelee flamed with brandy (far more popular than the gluck-slop-out canned cranberry jelly ever was), and no-sugar-added pumpkin-actually-butternutsquash pie!
I know it's hard to think of me as being domesticated, much less domestic, but I really am.
My first "pumpkin" pie! First, seconds, and thirds were had.

In other news, it looks like the Funny Farm will be welcoming two Dobermans for Christmas (after the New Year). Why do people always give me weird animal gifts?! (Don't answer that). Those things better come ready to run. Also, this week is especially crazy since tomorrow, Christmas proper, we go to my brother's place and it's a riotous affair of nieces nephews sig others random extras etc. The day after is my niece's bridal shower/bachelorette party (my brother's kids are all closer to me in age and relationship than he is), and then the 27th is her wedding. AAAAAAAGH I may be domestic but that implies a HOUSE, not a WEDDING ... Looking to put in 17-18 hours of training this week (no idea where it will come from but it is strictly scheduled!), didn't gorge myself at dinner tonight OR snack-taste the food all day (weird, right?) ... oh and we made gingerbread, too! That was my mom's present to everyone, personalized gingerbread cookies. Which basically means I make the gingerbread and she gets to put icing and decorations on them |

Master 1970 Somewhere on the Tennessee River | Subject: RE: Mad Manatees Mentor Group - VERY CLOSED!!! Sorry! Just had lunch. Deep fried wings in a hot sauce consisting of honey, butter, and dollar store hot sauce. The ratio of ingredients was 3:4:5. I am still in the process of tweeking said ratio. But they are quite delicious this way. These are my gourmet wings. I used real butter. Decadent, I know. It's the epicurean in me. I would post pictures, as I had good intentions, but after this mornings work out I was ravenous. Washed them down with green tea. Plain whole wheat loaf bread accompanied the wings. Time for a nap. No beer needed. |

You will soon learn what a piglet is, and what an honor it is to be one. HEY MANATEES CHECK OUT THE FORCE OF PIGLETUDE WE HAVE IN THE NEW MEMBERS! Almost as good as the old ones. They'll grow into it .... Thanks for the welcome everyone and looking forward to the craziness/inspiration. My first year on BT I was in a good group with Baowolf as the mentor but I have a feeling this will be a little more... interesting. Piglet, TAN, Manatee, pod and melon press, check. But you all have to help me on JoGo...? Also Yanti, I passed through Indonesia including Bali on a cross Asia trip in 2009, thought it was great place! I hope you have a great Christmas with your family and doberman. I've always wanted a doberman or maybe a boxer, I could never bring myself to dress it up though. Anyways I did a 6 mile run in 19 F temps, and an indoor trainer ride of about 15 miles. BOXERS! Did somebody mention a boxer? I LOVE BOXERS! My license plate in CA was LUVBOXR ... true regardless of interpretation. :P There was usually a boxer head fogging and slobbering up a window, too. Both boxers would get Hallowe'en costumes ... Notice how I completely overlooked your run in NINETEEN FRIGGIN' DEGREES ... brrrrrrrrrrr |

Aw, your piglets! Very sweet! Good pic of you, too. I often wish they made adult-size sturdy playgrounds. I want to climb on stuff and slide down stuff, too, and swing and whatnot. Have fun! |
