I was supposed to go to Winston-Salem today. I just don't want to. It was just observing some haz waste treatment and there will be others there, so... I am staying home today. So is today officially "Stay at home because you don't feel like going out" day? Can I do that too? Just close the library because I did not feel like going out today? Yep.. it is official... Thumbing your nose Thursday! That's a good name for it, too. I would like to win a lottery other than the Nigerian one, I sent them the processing fee, but I still haven't seen my millions. When I collect I'm quitting my job and moving somewhere that I can be outside every day! |

I am counting the hours until the day is over with. Tomorrow is our first Friday of the new library hours. Instead of closing at 3pm, we will be closing at 6pm. Years back when we used to close at 6pm on Fridays the hour between 5 & 6 was dead. I could understand extending our hours from 3 to 5, but not 6pm. That is just plain stupid based upon statistics. But of course, HQ is not affected by the hour changes. They are still 8 to 4:30 every day. Go figure. Just another example of how the people making the decisions have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Vote for me and I'll fix it! |

MotoQueen 13195 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action NOT a good day at the library. I had to ask a grown up customer to leave today. They called one of my staff "Skanky" more than once, took my staff name and said "Name, as in miserable". When my staff person told them that they did not have to take abuse the customer said "Yes, you do." They made my staff cry. And this is someone who has a pretty tough shell. Anyway, I went out to talk to the customer and they continued to be rude and disrespectful so I asked them to leave. They went up to talk to another customer, tried to get his name so that they could use him as a witness. He did not want to give her his information. I went back up to her with the Code of Conduct and told her that I had asked her to leave and that if she did not I would be calling the police. They finally left. Then the other customer came up to let me know that my staff had been professional. He had witnessed the whole transaction and that the customer had been the rude and offensive one.
I'm having a staff meeting on Tuesday. Guess what is on the agenda! |

Master 3479 Utah | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Springing into action I want to whine. But I won't. Let's just say we have gone from having 2 building lots under contract to probably no building lots under contract in a matter of hours. And possibly a large hole in our pockets. The dust will settle and we will hopefully know soon. Okay, maybe I had to whine a little. But I did get a nice 4 mile run in this afternoon! That counts for something, right? |

Yuck! That is terrible that they would be so deliberately rude especially with no provocation. Hopefully your staff person will realize that the rudeness only reflected badly on the customer. |
