I agree....but he was obviously still wound up.....and like I said, he shut Andrews up....nobody's been able to do that.

Josh.....it's a losing battle.....Seattle was bound to be hated the day they hired Carrol......I can't say i don't understand it.

Still, this is the Super Bowl I wanted to see.

That's funny I didn't see any SF fans in here last week when Boldin was headbutting people, 12 men in the huddle, Willis holding on the INT or the BS personal fouls, that all went SF's way in the 1st half.

The guy that was penalized for headbutting was pushing and shoving before the headbutt and it was much more aggressive than Boldin's. Boldin got up and headbutted and that happens multiple times a game, they won't throw the flag unless it's aggressive or following aggressive behavior.

The ball was not in play, therefore there is no 12 man penalty. BS, yes, but so is the fumble rule. Needs to be fixed but it's the game now.

Holding happens on both sides of the ball all game long.

Easy explanations. If you asked last week, I missed it.

What makes it delusional is acting like it didn't happen. When buck and troy can actually see it and you can't that's amazing. I fully admit they got away with a couple in GB, and so did GB. Today was a different story that again changed the outcome of the game.

There are always easy explanations for most penalties. IMO every single play in the NFL has multiple penalties. It's usually just a matter of how severe the infraction was and whether or not the ref's see it.

I don't think I've said it yet, but that was a helluva game. My wife had to leave the room because I was freaking out on everything.

I hated Carroll the day I saw him fake a spike for a touchdown pass up 3 touchdowns with under a minute to go while at USC. This is also why I irrationally enjoyed Harbaugh going for 2 up a bunch the next season. Something about karmic justice.

1 call might have changed it - the running into vs. roughing call.  Or might not.  1st down after a roughing call doesn't guarantee SF would've continued that drive for a TD.

Yeah it would be great if every call was instantly reviewed with no delay but you get what you get.  Ask the Seahawks what they thought of the ref work last time they were in the Superbowl.

I'm sick of this ridiculous idea that one play is reviewable and another is not when the whole country can see a blown call.

A coach gets 3 reviews period, end of story. Of ANY THING. Penalty, possession, turnover, score... ANYTHING. 3 per game. Use them wisely. Quit your complaining, it's your call.

We've had instant replay for years. We all like it. It isn't going anywhere. Let's finish it, and finally do it right.

Mike Perera tells the entire country within two minutes it was the wrong call and it should be SF ball with first down and nothing can be done. I can't even comprehend how they got the turnover on the goal line wrong... But it isn't reviewable when the country and stadium sees it's wrong. Hell I'm sure the refs looked at the jumbo tron and knew it was wrong but it stands. Ridiculous.

We don't have to ask a Seahawk fan, we have been told: often, repeatedly, and over and over.

Forget the coach's challenges Why should the coach only be able to change 3 wrong calls? Review every single call with a booth official, not sideline viewing stations.

I don't even agree with that. It's a game. The refs are going to make calls. they do it right the vast majority of the time... but if you have a beef, then challenge it. You can't wait for a officials review on every play, and it would pretty much have to be that... forget bout hurry up offense... games would take 6 hours.

I've hated replay since they instituted it. The game is a played by humans and officiated by humans. Therefore mistakes will be made. They have always been made and they always will be made.

Replay has changed how the game is played. Not just the call but the actual tempo. You cannot get every call right. It is impossible. To me, the game was better off without it.

You know funny you mention that. I went on youtube a week or two ago because I kept hearing about how it was stolen from Seattle. So I watched a summary and was surprised to see they lost by 2 scores and the controversial calls weren't that bad. One was a push off where he *gasp* did push off. The QB sneak, he broke the plane. Then holding to bring back a pass, they think he was offsides. Didn't look like it to me. But the fact remains, YOU LOST BY 2 SCORES! It wasn't close.

The 49ers on the other hand last year lose the Super Bowl to the Ravens when an obvious holding call in the end zone which would given first and goal with little time left isn't called. They end up losing by 3. That's a Super Bowl being stolen by a ref.

I'm not even claiming yesterday's game was stolen by the refs, but to have 4 VERY obviously blown calls and EVERY ONE be against the 49ers including 2 that essentially turned the ball over to Seattle, that's unacceptable (One giving Seattle position that led to 7 points non the less).

There were plenty of missed call against SF too Brad. Don't act like every one was against SF. On Kaep's huge run, did you see the blatant hold by the OL pushing Mebane to the ground? On another run, I think it was Boldin was holding Chancellor while he was trying to turn around and make a play on Kaep, who ended up with a good run. How about this? http://fansided.com/2014/01/19/guy-49ers-sideline-takes-cheap-shot-...

That sideline thing is terrible. Both that player and likely the 49er franchise are going to be getting very large bills from the league.

What can I say? - I'm pleased!

I like Tom Brady, but can't say I felt bad for him watching him hang his head on the bench for 20 straight minutes!

It was funny, the first possession of the game by NE and seeing Devers defense?  They came to PLAY.  I don't think I ever saw them play that hard all year.  I got a text from a friend who is a Pitt fan but still watched the playoffs and he said exactly they same thing - like reading my mind...

I'll give credit to the best defense in the NFL this season - but they never played against the best offense OF ALL TIME yet...  And no 12th man thing?  If I were to bet, NY may be more of a "home field" for Denver - for so many reasons...

I'm actually considering jumping on a flight and going to Denver if they win for the parade.  I was living there during the big run of them in the late 90's and it sure would be good to do that again!
