surfnturf - 2009-06-21 10:26 PM
ceilidh - 2009-06-22 9:58 AM It was a neat swim. Cool water and there were tons of bats swooping over the water around me catching bugs. At first I really didn't know what they were because they were so fast and it was pretty dark. They went right down to the water surface. and you could hear the wizz of their wings.
Sounds creepy. I would have been hyperventilating or just plain drowning!! I don't like being in ANY water when it's dark (except my pool).

Me too!!! I don't like it when I can't see what's beneath....

roni_runnw - 2009-06-22 2:06 PM Sorry about the frustrating bikes

I had my bike in the car and swung over to the LBS after work. The wonderful mechanics there took a look at it right away, made some adjustments on the spot, and returned the bike to me. Hopefully this will work.

When I wheeled the bike into the store one of the staff said "Wow, what is that? I've never seen a bike like that!" This really made me smile

I LOVE pizza...and I won't get into the other kind...I don't know what it's like....he he he

So hard to choose favorites.
Papa John's Cheese reminds me of college - but I don't usually get it anymore
Chicago deep dish is SOOO yummers!!  I love the "Lou" from Lou Malnati's - it's like spinach, mushroom and mozz. cheese. I think

I like mushrooms and sausage on my pizza. But I'll pretty much eat any kind of pizza. I'm not picky. I had buffalo chicken pizza this weekend that was divine. Way to go on being first! Hope I can add to the totals this week and push us way out front.

Happy Belated - fellow June Birthday person :-

Morning bugs.  Victoria and I are probably the only ones up yet.  Just got back from the anti jet lag jog.  It is gorgeous in Paris this morning.  Ran up to the L'Arc de Triomphe where there was some type of ceremony going on.  Military band, lots of police.  Saw some very "fancy" cars (the kind guys would probably know the names of, but I don't have a clue) and some apparent dignitaries getting out.  Will check out who's in town when I get to the office.  Explains the 2 hr cab ride from the airport.  City streets shut down all over the place.

Darn, gotta actually go to work now.

A bientot!

Hey,

I really love the wee cafes in Paris. PPL really know how to enjoy life and take it easy.... love their culture, as well.
Have fun
