Champion 10742 Ames, IA | Subject: RE: Show us your Ghoulies - Halloween Run Challenge Page #3 wgraves7582 - 2009-10-23 2:58 PM Alright I am caught up and back from the Chiro - Here is the low down on the hoe down: No hills on the bike because I like to ride Single Speed and that incorporates all the muscles and effects IT Band as well. So if I ride I have to go flat and I have to climb up my home hill very easily in a very easy spin gear. What do I think about Arizona. There is some good climbing involved once I get out of Prescott and up towards the Canyon and I need to make sure my cycling endurance stays good so I am going to work hard on the flats for the next 2 weeks to see how it goes and see once I hit the hills if my leg gets bothered or not. If not I will continue on to Arizona - if not - supplemental plan. So no cross racing for sure - I was going to sneak some in but I need this to heal! SOunds like a good plan Bill! |

I know but I don't even drink coffee. Don't tell anyone though I start my day off with about 40oz of water before I have caffeine (Pepsi) around lunch time or later depending on how tired I am I wish I could go without coffee...sure after seeing the bottom of my cup with all those black fine grinds...what does my stomach look like??????? plus when I was being admitted to the cancer hospital...that was the question for them for the day! I must have been asked over and over and over and OVER again by each specialists/nurse/oncologists/receptionists...do you drink coffee? and here is where it gets bad for you Bill..they also asked about soda?? do you drink soda? how much? what kind....I guess they were trying to see if there is any relationship between cancer and coffee/sodas. I dont drink sodas....well, very often...but love my coffee and the deeper and darker it is...the better! Gave up caffeine a couple years ago. Wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. I a 6 pack of Diet Coke habit....per day The only soda I've had since then was some gingerale when I had a tummy bug. I do indulge in a skim decaf latte occasionally, especially on the weekends. I gave it up a few years ago too. I had a bad Mountain Dew habit in college. And drank a lot of coffee when I first started working. Luckily I didn't find it too hard to give up. Now I only have a soda if I happen to be mixing a drink |

I'll make up the extra half mile on Sunday's long run. Have a good evening Ghoulies, I have pages and pages to read to keep up. A twofer!! Nice job! |

Actually started out great but the left knee started grumping at mile 5. What's with that????? It's the right knee that gives me grief. So I moved the pat strap over to mister grumpy and kept going. By mile 7 I was losing form and starting to worry it would blow up. So, I walked the last mile. What say you Ghoulies? Do I log this as 7 miles or 8??? You still went the 8 miles so I say 8! Should those that do run/walk take out the walk milege? I don't think so! Good for listining to your body Kim! |

NEAL breaking in the new sofa. nice. i could send WILD THING 1, 2 AND 3 to move things along. stacieb We could send my 4 along also...they destroyed our new furniture within 3 mo of having it......what did I say about eating on the couch...... that was your first mistake! not having the kids! haha...but getting new furniture before they moved out of the house!!! teehee Yeah when we bought it...our first "new" set we took out the full warranty that the really good sales person talked us into....it covers everything...blablabla well when the hubby wrestling with the kids broke the first board they kinda fixed it then about a year later there was a stain from "something" that we couldn't get out, they cleaned it and said it was within their approval, then the dog put a tear in one of the cushions, they stated that they could not fix it but if we wanted new stuff they would give us what our furniture is worth right now towards a new set....um I don't think so! |

I don't really have any extra $$ to spend on overpriced jewelry, even if it is cute. i think tonight will be spent trying to hire a new babysitter/part-time nanny (nanny just sounds so over-the-top for what it is). Our current one quit this week when her other job gave her more hours. My son's soccer game in the rain tomorrow morning, then pending another asthma flare we may head out ot one of the local corn mazes and, well, get lost. Or I might just go for a run. Saturday night, the annual "B!tchy Witchy" party at my aunt's house. In my best witch attire, of course. Sunday....hmmmm...church... and then possibly an 80th birthday party for my great-aunt, then to a going-away party for a friend of mine who is moving back east. OK, so I don't know that it's technically back east---but it's east of the rockies, so it's East anyways.
WOW. Lots of socializin' this weekend. Hope the hubby doesn't decide he "has: to work, LOL. You need to share B!tchy Witchy Costume pics. Want. To. See. |
