Got another scolding by my boss last night. I forgot to turn in my "weekly activity report" in time so he said he sent it up the chain without mine, and I need to put a reminder on my calendar so I get it done each week (this is in addition to a daily status meeting and a weekly staff meeting - this weekly activity report).

I said I do have a reminder on my calendar but I often get distracted by actual work.

MEH!

This weeks activity:

Friday - Had my boss micromanaging again.

I can go for weeks without hearing directly from my boss and even longer without seeing him, and even longer for him to contact me individually. I get cc'd on emails and he is on team calls but he never just calls me or shoots me an email.

Jealousy abounds.
My old manager was like that. He'd breeze in and out, occasionally asking about a project if there was pressure from above. I always got my work done on time and got praised for it. Now it's like I can't get my work done well because I'm spending so much time updating others on what I'm doing. Ugh.

But it's FRIDAY, and I have a date tonight

I also have a date tonight with a very cute girl. Our date will consist of a couple of Elmo videos and popcorn. She has beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair and I could stare at her all day. My incredible 19 month old daughter. Its a perfecvt Friday date night after a long week.

Mom and my son have a birthday party for a friend so its just me and my favorite chicky.

We have several FNGs that seem to be rotating through that spot, so you've been relieved, and hence I needed to dub thee something.

P.S. I bet she has the cutest giggle ever.

That is a great story! We do have some amazing athletes here in TAN ...

I got hopelessly, irretrievably lost during my first hash run ... stuck in rice fields in the middle of nowhere at sunset, here it gets dark REALLY fast.

(I get lost or take a wrong turn on nearly every single race course I do, I suppose it was inevitable)

Anyhow, I did get myself back (watched for light/smoke coming from the nearest inhabited place, headed there, we were so in the boonies they only spoke Balinese, not Indonesian, and I don't speak Balinese ... but somehow they figured out I wanted to be where all the crazy beer-drinking white people were, and took me there) ... I was the last person back BY FAR and hence my nickname!

Running, drinking, and shenanigans! It's a great way to meet people ... I should have thought of this before ...

And I don't even drink, but I sure have running and shenanigans down. Okay, well, shenanigans.

Just move to the UK - the locals will get you back on track in no time!

I had NO idea how seriously these people take their drinking - it truly could be considered a national sport.

I did a couple has runs and couldn't get on board with the post-run chanting. It was very cult-like.

Some hashes are weirder, more cult-like, nakeder, more vulgar... it all depends on the group.
