ironannekidd - 2012-07-05 8:29 AM I hurt myself yesterday at the park. I pulled a quad while running bases. I felt it when I did it, but it didn't bother me too much so I kept on playing. Once I got home though, into a cool house, and I sat down for a bit I REALLY FELT IT. I'm taking my heavy duty prescription strength muscle relaxer and anti-inflammatory. I hope that helps it quickly!

OUCH!! Hope it feels better. Kayaking uses a lot more leg muscles than I ever knew. You gotta feel better to try out all those boats.

Good morning Ghoulies!

You know how things rarely go as I have planned? Yeah? Well... last night was no exception.

It was about 5:40 and we were getting in the car to go to the lake to check out the kayak demo. Caleb and I were going to test drive, Donnie and Keri were just going to play in the beach and on the water. Caleb and I were in the car playing a game on the ipad and we had the doors open waiting for the other 2. We started feeling rain drops. I looked at the weather map on my phone and there were a few small blobs, had a lot of green and red (heavy stuff) in the but they were small. When Donnie said it was raining he asked what I wanted to do, I said I wanted to go check out the kayaks. He jumped in the drivers seat and we started the 20 minute drive to the lake.

We had some heavy rain on the way, I kept looking at the map on my phone. We had hail, I'm still looking at the map on my phone. As we get closer and closer we see some branches and leaves down on the road. The closer we get the bigger the branches. We are on the road the lake is on, 5 minutes from our destination and there is a tree down across the road. We're going home. Donnie turns around and we start heading home and there are even more branches down now, and some big stuff. How did we miss this. When we are right down the hill from our house there is a very large branch across the road. Donnie stopped the car and I jumped out in the pouring rain and pulled the thing off to the side of the road.

I was pretty disappointed. I really wanted to try out the kayaks before we made a purchase, and I also wanted the 10% off coupon. I am going to call later this morning to see if they are going to reschedule, but I doubt it. They had reps coming in from several different kayak vendors to answer questions. Maybe next year. I am still going to purchase 2 kayaks this summer.

Glad you all made it safely! They probably had to cancel. They may do another one, they have a lot at stake for those kinds of things. I'll keep my fingers crossed that they reschedule.

Good morning Robin

I'm going to call this morning to see if they are going to reschedule. I know they had reps in from the vendors, so if they're doing it, it may be soon. I'm only working until 12:30, it would be nice if they had it this afternoon or tomorrow.

Happy Belated Birthday to Keri.

Glad that Ann and her family made it safely back home.

Hope that Robins trip to the state park went well.

Melissa - hope that you got your coffee.

Amy - Hail to those in SLC.

Okay, I believe that I have caught up.

Next week I am working on Monday and Saturday.  I have the rest of the week free.  Woot.  Then I work Sat to the following Thursday and then go on vacation.  Robin, we should meet for brunch or lunch on Saturday July 14th.

DANG Kendra, I will be at the Highland Games being Scottish that weekend. The next is when Ann and family will be here. You should come then, too! PLEASE!

I am going to see what I can do.   I think we have the place in Williamsburg until the 22nd, so we shall see.  I'll keep you guys posted.

I hope you can make it!!!

That would be great to be able to get together!

Frank is considering.

hi  just a quick hello to everyone.  We are having a great time here in Colorado.  No real trouble in this area with the fires.  We did smell the smoke one day for awhile.  No fireworks on 4th of July, but I am fine with that.

Dogs are doing real well with all of the other dogs and the kids, etc.

Have a good weekend, ghoulies.  Catch up with you later.

Morning Ghoulies!

Another manic Monday. I have TONS to do for work and a boat load of stuff I didn't get done over the weekend. Now I have to rush rush rush. We are leaving for camping tomorrow and I am barely ready.

Good morning Ghoulies!

I took the day off today. I didn't sleep well. It's been run run run run for a long time now. I just needed a break.

I'm going to take the kids up to the lake shortly to play with the kayaks.
