speaking of americans loving sweet, i accidentally bought "regular" applesauce instead of unsweetened this week.

gross.

That's like HFCS that an apple may have visited.

excellent description.  the taste doesn't resemble apple at all, i'm not sure i can eat the rest of the package.

Applesauce can replace fats and sugar in cakes like muffins, etc. good way to make low fat, low calorie baked goods.

Amen, sir. I used to make the most wonderful low-fat apple cake. I should make it again!

Apple cake kilt TAN for a whole half hour?

I accidentally ate a tomato-and-onion salad with olive oil and sea salt. It was delicious, but kinda feels funny in the tummy now. Maybe a piece of bread is needed now.

My daughter was 10# 8oz, and my oldest was 10#3oz... my middle son was only7#13oz, but he was a  month early... so we figure he would have been the same size... but by four  months he caught up...

Don't bother with the "newborn" clothes for that one... they'll last about two weeks.

Congrats Meh!

My wife did too (not by choice). And Ditto. I can come home with a metal rod going through my eye socket and coming out of the back of my head, and my wife response will be "SO? I gave birth without drugs!"

Herrrroooo again TAN!

Car is fixed and running great.

Ended up having to replace the thermostat, but things are rockin'; it's running better than it has in a while.  It's kinda nice to have the car generate heat during a northern winter, something it hasn't done all that well this winter.  Actual parts cost: $19 (excluding new coolant). Most expensive part of the repair was the antifreeze... gotta love that.

Car trouble...

We JUST got major service done on Sat.  everything looked good.  Car sat all day Monday and the battery was completely dead that night when the wife needed to drive to LA.

I jumped it figuring we left a light on or something all night/day.  She got to Barstow and stopped for a burger and the car wouldn't start again. She was mad and panicking but I talked her through getting a jump from a Burger King manager, then drove to an Autozone with 10 minutes to spare before they closed and they swapped out the battery which seems to have done the trick.  The other one was only 2.5 years old though.

I'm just grateful I didn't have to drive to Barsow to rescue her.

Ugh, that bites.

Hopefully that does it and the alternator isn't the real issue.... otherwise, the car will be dead again soon enough
