Someone should make a toy that has to be charged with a hand crank for a minute and then could be powered off of the motion in your body (like a Rolex).  That would be entertaining.

This would be awesome!

My other rule of thumb.  If a girl who has expressed some interest in hooking up gets naked in front of you down to a thong under the pretense of "changing outfits", is giving non verbal permission to be thrown on the bed and taken care of at that very moment.

As confirmed by the girl who wanted to hook up with me and got naked down to a thong in front of me under the pretense of changing outfits (when asked at a later time).

However, I couldn't cuz I was dating mrs kido at the time.

Wow...man you must be living right.

Nah, just kind of had a "stalker".  We fooled around a couple times before mrs. Kido, and she kept trying to relive the past.  She couldn't get it in her mind the 5 years we were dating, that there wasn't going to be 'one more time'....

I sort of 'warned' her that in general, if you get naked in front of a guy like she did to me, that it can be interpreted as he can take her right then and there.  She said "I know".

I saw some 60-minutes feature on a guy who powered most everything in his house from a bicycle. He had the whole electricity thing rigged up... he demonstrated that it took like 3 minutes of riding to toast a piece of bread... man that would be AWESOME. My trainer rides would pay for my energy bills... someone needs to start this business and make some bank!

Ah, the day keeps on getting better.

Wedding ring, GONE....

I took it off to apply lotion after working out.  I put it on the bench next to me but had to scoot over when someone else came in.  I must have forgotten it or knocked in on the floor.  (I think the later).  Why do I think that? because I noticed some kid, just sitting around and waiting.  Waiting the entire time I was getting ready.  It seemed really odd to me.  My guess, he saw the ring hit the floor, and saw that I didn't realize that it dropped.  He was waiting for me to leave and then grab it.

I got a 1/4 mile from the gym and realized.  Went back and no one turned it in, and it wasn't in the locker room.

Good thing it was my cheap carbide ring instead of the platinum 'official' ring.  (just for this reason).

I just pizzes me off the this kid (my theory) just WAITED for the chance to get it.  That's as good as stealing, IMO.  Fugger....

I guess I could still hope someone turns it in.

THEN I call to tell the wife, and first thing out of her mouth is some lecture about how I shouldn't take it off to put on lotion.  No "that sucks" or any kind of condolence - just lecture....

Awww sorry about the ring! That sucks. I always take rings off to apply lotion... otherwise they get all gooky and yicky. Very common.

Thank you.

I had to text her and say that I probably deserved it, but I could have used something other than a lecture as her very first response.

I think I KNOW that I should have been more careful.  However, mistakes happen, I think the person who STOLE it has more to blame than me, IMO.  I feel terrible about it already, I don't need it piled on.

Kido, sorry about the ring!!

On the other hand......I have a free vacation to Vegas coming up?! I bought a vaca package which included a Vegas trip. Don't know if I plan to use it in the next few months or save it for the December marathon you guys have out there? Either way, we should get together if I'm out there.

this whole day does.

I might leave early under the pretense of a site visit, hit the gym early, then dinner and bed early - forget this day ever happened.

I'm doing this self-help thing that makes you say to yourself that today is the best day it could be.  It's helped me to be a bit more optimistic.
