ponderingfox - 2013-02-25 11:55 AM Did a seven mile run today for the first time ever.  Pretty pumped about that.
Now every run you do becomes a 'first' it's an exciting time!

Haha, it's true.

A friend that's done a HIM joked with me that it's funny when these previously impossible distances become our 'short runs'.

So very True.... I still remember the days when I couldn't run 1 mile on a treadmill.

Congrats on your new PR for distance.

I still can't run 1 mile on a treadmill....bleugh hate that machine.

It wasn't because I hated the machine... it was because I physically could not run 1 mile.  LOL  Now, I can't get motivated to put on my shoes for anything less than 4 miles...

When we moved to Australia I was into the gym but running - nope.  I had a standard response "I don't run, I can't".

Then one day I just did...I just ran round the lake and it was 5km.   I couldn't believe it.  Now two marathons done Lord knows how many halves.    Now I run every day.  Today I felt a bit cheated that I only had time for a 1500m swim at lunchtime, didn't seem worthwhile getting wet for that.

Not awkward at all.   We are too much alike for our own good. Delta IQ = zero.    Only trouble comes when I date up or down in IQ.

I'm sure once you are back to Tennessee your potential to meet up with these lovely creatures will climb exponentially compared to what it is in Alaska. Cool     By the way I live 40 miles west of Huntsville.   Chattanooga is a two hour drive, as is roughly Nashville and Memphis.   Giles County is the next county north.

I hope so. We may have to meet up at some point. I will be at Ft Campbell, north of Nashville, and my kiddos are in Cleveland. I also have a couple friends from the Huntsville area. Small world.
I am partially debating about doing the Hot 100 in Tuscaloosa one year. Still debating.

I did the W.C Handy 100 last July.  Might do the Tuskaloosa one this year.

Checked the race out and found that there is a series of 100's in Alabama this year.  Might do a few of them.

Alabama 100 series

The differences between our conversations and your's are kind of funny though.  We get turned on by you ladies talking about nibbling each other's arms and having wild nights.  I can see you ladies rolling your eyes as we are electronically high 5'ing each other for our "sucsexes" (see what I did there?)

Now I have this urge to talk about muscle cars, football games, and the best micro beers available.
