Morning Crushers!

Did some Pilates this morning for something different......I like that....doing something different, very limited with not having 2 good legs but at least I like Pilates more than strength training Tongue out

So no one knows the answer to the absent Ghoulie Crushers question that Stacie posted. I know that Yanti will know but it looks like she concentrated on resting instead of posting yesterday. (Good thing!)

rnihill - 2010-10-22 12:19 AM Wait, I do have one more comment on the subject...  is it bad that my first question about recovery time if I do have the surgery is "How long till I can bike again?", not  "How long until I can type at work"?

Of course you can bike!!!! One-handed. :D

(ducks and runs)

Do not, under any circumstances, take advice on what to do while injured/ill from me.

However, upright trainer/stationary should still be an option. Or how about unicycling! (As I said, do NOT listen to me).

Hahaha - my daughter has been asking me if we could get a unicycle to add to the mix of other bikes!

Sorry to hear about the brace - sounds VERY annoying!

Maybe you should get a unicycle. My husband did a 100km mtb ride the other week and there was a 50km version too which a guy on a unicycle did....50km on a unicycle off road!

Now THAT is card core!

My PT was encouraging, he thinks the soreness is overall muscle groups that have been deconditioned balking equally about the work and not any extension of injury.  I can get back on my trainer this weekend for 25 minutes and the shuttle comes back next week.

Just wanna know why they make ice packs so cold that I am shivering on the table?

Judi, I'm glad to hear that your PT was encouraging.  Enjoy that trainer ride this weekend!

Apparently I'm out here by myself...  I will be checking in throughout the day.  I have run and strength planned for the day.  Hopefully a bike tomorrow and another run on Sunday...  but we are going to my SIL's Sat-Sun for my inlaws 60's birthday party.  Fun, fun, fun...  At least we are bringing the beer!

I think the worst thing about surprises is I don't know how it will affect my training schedule. My wife has a surprise date planned for tonight and hasn't even told me what time so I don't know if I will have time to get cleaned up for the date after a run or bike ride.

I'm going shopping with my sister after work today which should be fun.  I have to go get something to wear for the game tomorrow then I'm probably going to go for a run since I missed it this morning.

Hey everyone -

Have a minute to say hello and to say I am on the mend. I have managed to keep food in me now for about 22 hours which is a good thing. I found I lost 2.5 lbs between yesterday and today which isn't a good thing. Trying to eat and hydrate today.

Today was an off day for me - might try a bit of the squats and such and then tomorrow is a LONG run - 9 miles tomorrow morning. Hopefully that goes well.

Happy Friday everyone.

Keep feeding/hydrating and don't run tomorrow if you don't feel well. Health is #1!

I seem to have gotten back into the anatomy zone easier than I expected. I left the mind set of "review all muscles, their attachements, and any potentially relevant boney landmarks" to "let's cut this down a bit and work on the shoulder girdle and upper torso today".
