Just finished an 1800y one-armed swim. At this rate, I might be able to start doing tris with one arm! It felt pretty good and now I'm almost at 50% of my swim goal for the month. I'm off for a short run to loosen my legs for tomorrow's 15-miler.

4.29 mile run, done, and short strength session for the legs. Aside from the bike, I might be able to catch up after all!

Or Jen will taser you.

Oh wait, I'm on the wrong team thread again....

OK, I'm packing up my taser and cattle prod, and going back "home" to WCPT (aka Whips, Cattle Prods and Tiaras) now.

Yeah, I don't think I have a good threat.  I should probably come up with one.

Hello September Challenge Participants!

Here's an update on the September Challenge "Secondary Challenge."

Yes, I refer to the POST PADDING CHALLENGE, of course!

Here are the current standings:
Whips, Cattle Prods and Tiaras (WCPTs) - 1789 Posts

Team Post Padding - 1590 Posts
Team Horny Melons - 1531 Posts

Congratulations to team WHIPS, CATTLE PRODS AND TIARAS!

Want an update of what's being discussed?

Whips, Cattle Prods and Tiaras - This team really needs to change their name to Whips, Cattle Prods and TASERS. They have given up rhinestones in favor of a large assortment of fashion-forward tasers. And boots. And high-heeled shoes. Extra points are given if the tasers and shoes match, especially if they are pink or leopard print.

Team Post Padding - There's lots of running, swimming and biking going on here. Embedded in the midst of peoples' workout remarks was a partricularly fascinating one by Saling4, "I AM NOT wearing a bra." No, I won't tell you what page it's on. But it's there. Really, it is.

Team Horny Melons - Melissa is doing her best to pad the team's post count. Based upon her daily post count totals, she should be challenging TinkerBeth's status pretty soon. Rudy, who couldn't swim 100 yards two months ago, is now doing 1500-1600 yards - and could be doing more! Great job! The team should probably look into a group discount on Finis LabTrack counters though.

If you haven't already done so - Don't forget to update the spreadsheet tonight. I'll be pulling the totals tomorrow morning for the weekly standings.

- Dee

Just looked at the team spreadsheet.  Yesterday we were 67% of the way through the month, but only 51.7% of the way to our goals.  We've got some work to do in the next 10 day!  Remember, that we can go over our goals - up to 110%.  So, if you're almost done, keep going.

Here's where everyone stacks up:

Overachievers (> 70%)

sparco (92.1%)
saling4 (77.9%)
otter_sh (70.7%)

Right on Track (60% - 70%)

Artemis (68%)
enders_shadow (62.9%)
Dimplespoo (61.7%)
crea0029 (61.5)

Needs a few long workouts (40% - 60%)

Pegasus1731 (59%)
movingsouth (55.7%)
naners (54.3%)
triniki (48.8%)

Needs a lot of long workouts (< 40%)

givemashot (37.5%)
amyro1234 (36.7%)
LazyMarathoner (31.8%)
TeamWin75 (6.3%)
jacsuza (3%)

I can promise you guys that I'm meeting my running, swimming and strength training goal. But I have to be honest that the bike is not looking likely. I haven't biked at all this month due to my shoulder injury. I'm planning 3-4 rides this next week, but I can't put in serious time on the trainer since I can't put pressure on my arm, so I'm thinking I'll get to 60-70% at best. Sorry, I had hoped my healing would be further along this month, but had to wait to see the doc again.
